About Capstone Capstone is a great opportunity for any company to meet future professionals. The innovative setting offers a platform for developing ideas or testing them in practice. Fresh viewpoints result in a concept, model, prototype or report, serving as a tool for the client company in their development work. Capstone provides students with working life skills, prepares them for possible future entrepreneurship, and allows them to graduate with a better grasp of project work. It may also offer a practical testing environment for a concept, product or service.

Ways of working The students work in multidisciplinary and often international teams of 6 to 10 members. The projects run from 11/2018 to 5/2019. This brings each student 15 credits which equals 400 h of work per capita, so a 10-member group has about 2.5 person-years to be spent on the project. Project progression:
1. The first six weeks are spent on ideation; the teams set out to find a variety of alternative solutions.
2. The subsequent 16 weeks are spent on implementing ideas in practice. During this time, the company and the team meet roughly every 2 to 3 weeks.
3. The last four weeks are reserved for presenting and evaluating project outcomes. VISION

What we offer The project groups seek to solve existing problems both by ideating and by doing concrete hands-on work. The many laboratory premises at TUAS are available for project groups, for example. A mere rough theme for a project is enough to get the students started. Forces are then combined to refine the theme into a project plan and subsequent practical implementation. The participation fee for companies is 1000 â‚Ź.
