The Bachelor´s degree program in ICT provides students with the skills and knowledge needed to manage and operate computer systems in the digital environment. The program offers you versatile opportunities as a future ICT professional. In the studies, you will achieve broad expertise needed in the ICT area.
Objectives Software Engineering and Project Management studies concentrate on mobile and web development as well as on project management and software industry. Majority of the studies consists of project work in the learning environment called theFIRMA or in local software companies. In addition to technical knowledge, studies cover also project productization and project management aspects. After graduation possible work titles can be software engineer and project manager. Some graduates run their own business.
Structure and Schedule The curriculum consists of basic and professional studies as well as practical training and a Bachelor’s thesis project. Basic studies contain Basics of ICT, language and communication courses, and coaching in study skills. General professional studies focus mainly on topics such mathematics, physics and advanced communication skills. Mandatory professional studies include courses in Software Projects, Software Engineering and Project Management, Full Stack Development, ICT Projects and Business and ICT Projects and Application Development. The advanced professional studies take place during the third and fourth year. The programme has strong connections to the ICT industry in Salo, and provides unique opportunities for students to network and interact with industry contacts during their studies in Salo.
Postgraduate study opportunities As a Bachelor of Engineering, you may apply to a wide selection of Master’s programmes in Finland or abroad. After two years of working experience post-graduation, you can apply for applied Master’s programmes at Universities of Applied Sciences.

Eligibility and selection criteria The applicant is eligible to apply if he/she has completed a qualification outside Finland that provides eligibility for higher education studies in the awarding country or with a non-Finnish higher education degree. Selection method is an SAT test or an interview.
Tuition fee and scholarship programme The tuition fee is 11 500 eur per academic year for non-EU/EEA students who start their studies in degree programmes offered in English. By completing 55 ECTS credits per year, the student will be refunded a third of the fee.
