What is a double degree?
• A dvantage in labour market or future studies
In a double degree programme, you will complete a predefined plan of credits in a foreign partner institution and gain two degree certificates at graduation, one from the home institution and the other from the host institution. We at Turku UAS offer double degree studies to undergraduate students in selected fields such as ICT, business and engineering. Students from Turku UAS and the double degree partner institutions can apply for a double degree programme during their studies at their home institution. The double degree exchange period at the partner institution usually takes place in the 3rd year of studies. The language of instruction at Turku UAS is English. English or other languages might be possible in Turku UAS’ partner institutions.
Why a double degree? Double degree programmes offer you a unique opportunity to study in parallel at two higher education institutions, graduating with two degrees in less time than it would take to do so separately. By completing a double degree, you will gain knowledge in specific disciplines and strengthen key competences such as tolerance, confidence and problem-solving skills in a multicultural environment. All these skills are highly valuable for employers.

My year in Finland was absolutely unforgettable: besides the wonderful nature and many international contacts, I am very grateful to have gotten to know the advanced Finnish university system. The year will go down in my memory as a year full of new experiences that I was able to share with wonderful people. - Lee Sauer, a double degree student from Aschaffenburg University of Applied Sciences, Germany (2020–21)
The many group projects and assignments, in which we often had the chance to work in cooperation with real companies, were a lot of fun. I was able to put the theoretical knowledge I had learned into practice, and I am convinced that I can benefit from these experiences very well in my future career. - Sophie Maier, a double degree student from Aschaffenburg University of Applied Sciences, Germany (2020–21)
