MASK Freedom Freedom technology is a set of revolutionary features offering superior fit, comfort and increased performance in TUSA masks. Freedom model masks feature a dimpled skirt surface with varied silicone thicknesses and stability ridges in addition to a proprietary low-friction skirt surface on the fitting line. UV Lens Treatment Increased exposure to UV light can damage the eyes especially in marine environments where reflectivity is high. TUSA’s UV Lens Treatment provides 100% protection from harmful UVA and UVB rays. Blocking 100% of the ultraviolet spectrum (under 400nm) provides greater eye protection without sacrificing light transmission or vision. Anti-Reflective (A/R) Lens Treatment Standard glass lenses can reflect up to 15% of available light reducing vision underwater. TUSA’s Anti-Reflective (A/R) Lens Treatment decreases internal and external reflected light. This reduction increases light transmission to 95% resulting in significantly enhanced color, clarity, contrast and better overall vision underwater. Round Edge Skirt TUSA's Round Edge Skirt features a proprietary round edge cross-sectionally shaped skirt. This rounded edge results in a soft fit that suppresses pressure and reduces creasing left on the face. The "planar fit, instead of linear fit" silicone skirt maintains great fit and unprecedented comfort. Skirt Mounted Quick-Adjust Buckle System The Quick-Adjust Buckle System incorporates a newly-designed low-profile buckle into the crystal silicone skirt of the mask. The result is a compact, lightweight, technologically advanced mask design that can be easily and quickly adjusted for a perfect fit.

3-D Strap TUSA's patented 3-D strap is a true three-dimensional design that snugly fits against the head's natural curvature. The 3-D strap offers unprecedented comfort and fit unlike standard flat mask straps. Angle Strap Adjustor The 5 Angle Strap Adjustor allows for a five position micro-adjustment on both the left and right sides of the mask. This enables vertical (up/down) and horizontal (left/right) pressure on the face to be delicately adjusted for the optimum fit. Panoramic View Panoramic View masks feature a variety of designs offering an incredibly wide field-of-view. Several designs incorporate minimum frame volumes, domed side-windows, reduced frame structures as well as three and four window styles for maximum vision. Hyperdry Purge Clearing a mask has never been easier thanks to our patented Hyperdry System. Simply breathe out through your nose and any water that has accumulated in your mask is forced out through a one-way purge valve. Once the mask is clear, the valve seals shut. Corrective Lens Corrective lenses are offered on several styles of masks. This option allows the diver to choose right and left lens powers in both a variety of diopters for maximum flexibility and for a custom fit.

SNORKEL Hyperdry ELITE A more refined and streamlined version of the Hyperdry MAX, the Hyperdry Elite maintains the same superior dry performance and keeps the snorkel completely void of water by quickly and efficiently closing the gasket when submerged or hit by waves. Hyperdry System The Hyperdry System keeps the main pipe dry by ejecting water through an independent escape pipe. This unique design utilizes the angle of the snorkel pipe and the resilience of the water surface to eject water. High Flow Purge The High Flow Purge design used on TUSA snorkels offers a covered large diameter purge valve for simple, quick clearing, reducing the amount of water remaining in the mouthpiece in an instant.

Comfort Swivel The Comfort Swivel offers a more comfortable fit since it creates no load on the mouthpiece, straightens out during diving and doesn't get in the way. The swivel adapter makes it possible to slip the mask strap into the slit with no hassles. The two-part construction allows the snorkel to rotate and can be attached in a horizontal position. Hyperdry MAX Dry Top System TUSA’s Hyperdry MAX System (pat p.) is the latest innovation in dry snorkel technology utilizing two independent high buoyancy floats for superior dry performance. This revolutionary design keeps the snorkel completely dry by quickly and efficiently closing the gasket when waves or water hits the snorkel.

FIN ForcElast A proprietary TPR compound molded into an advanced blade and foot pocket structure offers superior propulsion, efficiency and power transfer. ForcElast powers TUSA high performance fins like the SF-22 and FF-23. Propeller Technology TUSA’s advanced split fins employ Propeller-FinTM Technology, which delivers ultra-high performance with a low amplitude rapid flutter kick. As the fin moves through the water its two wing-shaped surfaces create lift and forward propulsion like a propeller. Any water traveling over the top of the blade is funneled into and out of the split between the blades. Efficiency is increased while drag and effort is reduced.

Angled Blade Design (A.B.D.) TUSA’s Angled Blade Design is employed on the SF-15, SF-8 and SF-6 fins. A standard flat fin inhibits propulsion solely by fault of design. An angle between the heel of the foot and the calf of the leg remains when the leg is extended to kick. This angle causes 10% of the propulsion to be lost. The Angled Blade Design accommodates for this anatomical characteristic and ensures maximum efficiency throughout the kicking cycle. Anatomic Fin Strap TUSA open-heel fins are equipped with a newly designed Anatomic Fin Strap (AFS). The AFS is anatomically shaped to offer a balance of flexibility and control to increase comfort, power transfer and to significantly reduce heel slippage found in many standard flat fin straps. EZ Strap and Buckle System TUSA's EZ strap and Buckle System allows fins to be quickly and easily adjusted with minimal effort. Adjustment can be made while the fins are worn, allowing for a precise fit and ease of removal when necessary.

JACKET 3-D Hybrid Cubic Air Cell The 3-D Hybrid Cubic Air Cell combines the features of a wrap-around style BCJ and a back-inflation BCJ into a unique streamlined hybrid design. The air cell offers increased lift capacity over standard back-inflation jackets and a more streamlined, comfortable fit underwater and on the surface. 3-D Air Cell The 3-D Cubic Air Cell allows for greater internal volume (lift) in a more compact and streamlined design. The 3-D cell increases diver comfort by expanding outwardly away from the body eliminating that "squeezed" feeling upon inflation. It also maximizes efficiency by keeping you more streamlined underwater. Waist Support System (W.S.S.) The Waist Support System significantly enhances comfort and fit by dispersing the weight load around the hips. The W.S.S. integrates the adjustable shoulder harness system with the rear stabilizing plate and cummerbund to effectively unload the hips while ensuring a snug fit.

Ultimate Stabilizing Harness (U.S.H.) TUSA's Ultimate Stabilizing Harness completely eliminates tank roll and delivers an amazing fit. The U.S.H. securely holds the air cylinder in place with optimally placed rails and brings the tank closer to the body increasing tank control while reducing weight. A.W.L.S. II (Advanced Weight Loading System II) The 2nd generation A.W.L.S. continues to enhance TUSA weight integrated BC jackets by incorporating a newly designed ergonomic handle grip and quick-lock feature. Load and release the weight cartridges with ease by simply turning the handle grip vertically 90° in either direction. A.W.L.S. (Advanced Weight Loading System) TUSA's patented Advanced Weight Loading System (A.W.L.S.) allows the diver to insert weight into both left and right weight cartridges eliminating the need for a weight belt. Rear trim pockets combine with the A.W.L.S. to optimally balance the weight load on each TUSA integrated BC jacket.

Independent Harness System (I.H.S.) The Independent Harness System isolates the BC jacket's harness from the air cell, tightly supporting the tank even with changes in air cell inflation/deflation. The I.H.S. prevents tank slippage and eliminates any gaps between the tank and your back.

INSTRUMENT 3 Gas Mix This advanced feature allows the diver to preset three individual gas mixtures (Mix 1, Mix 2, Mix 3) from 21-100% for easy switching during the dive as necessary. Backlit Display Several TUSA computer instruments feature a backlit display for night diving or low-light situations. The bright backlight is activated by a touch of a button and the duration can be set for up to 10 seconds in length enabling the diver to view critical dive data easily and quickly. User Replaceable Battery Convenience and ease-of-maintenance is imperative in the design of today’s dive computer. Each of TUSA’s computers offer a user-friendly replaceable battery that can be changed on a moment’s notice using standard widely-distributed batteries. Hoseless Transmitter Hoseless transmitter technology combines the accuracy of air integration with wireless data transmission resulting in a next generation ultra-compact wrist-top dive computer – the Zen Air. Air Integration TUSA’s Zen Air Integration technology allows a diver to monitor depth, dive time and up to 3 tank pressures accurately and safely in a single glance. The need for bulky analog gauge consoles is gone. TUSA’s alphanumeric digital display conveys air data efficiently each updated second.

PC Downloadable TUSA’s PCLogbook and TUSA DataLog PC interfaces allow the diver to transfer complete log and profile history from the dive computer to a personal computer or upload user settings to the computer. A PC interface unit is sold separately. 2 Gas Mix This feature allows the diver to preset two Nitrox gas mixtures (Mix 1 and Mix 2) for easy switching during the dive as necessary. Mix 1: 21 to 50%, Mix 2: 21 to 99%. Audible Alarm TUSA’s computers feature audible and visual alarms for the most important dive data warnings. Ascent rate, maximum depth, no decompression limits, safety stop and several other key data can be set to alert the diver. Vibrating Alarm TUSA is the world’s only equipment manufacturer with vibrating alarm technology. This patented unique alarm function is similar to the vibration setting on most cellular telephones. The user is alerted to important dive data with several vibrations instead of an audible alarm that can distract your dive partners.

Dimpled Skirt:

Key areas around the forehead and cheek bones have been designed with dimples which combine to increase the skirt’s softness, flexibility and skin surface contact. This also greatly reduces leakage and enhances comfort.

Varied Silicone Thickness:

A regulator or snorkel mouthpiece, when in use, can cause areas of the mouth and nose section to distort causing leakage and discomfort. Varied thicknesses of silicone in these key areas reduce leakage and provide for a better fit.

Stability Ridges:

As water pressure increases a mask will compress inwards toward the face often causing further leakage. Areas under the cheek bones have been reinforced with stability ridges to minimize this compression maintaining ideal skin surface contact.

Freedom Dry enhances comfort and fit by utilizing a revolutionary low friction skirt surface. The skirt fitting line (shown in red) features a low friction surface that delivers a superior seal and increases the facial area contact patch while significantly reducing excess skin tension. The result is a soft and supple feeling mask with a dramatically improved seal.

For example, a major theme for regulators is "to always provide stable, natural breathing in the water, regardless of the water depth or the amount of pressure left in the tank". At TUSA, as we develop new products, we repeat the inhalation and exhalation resistance tests over and over with the ANSTI Regulator Performance System in the search for ideal breathing. We subject all the regulators we have put together to this testing before we ship them. We test inhalation and exhalation resistance, test on the intermediate pressure inspector machine and inspect to make sure that the intermediate pressure value is as set. Everyday we are working hard to send products out into the market that our customers can rely on at all times. Naturally, this attitude applies not only to regulators, but to BCJs, gauges, and all our other products as well.
