Some dive activities call for a specific feature. For example, when using a light for photo/video, you should look for one with a variable power switch to achieve professional quality images.

Generally, the larger the dive light, the more battery power & run time you’ll have. All of our lights are designed to be compact enough for travel and some are even small enough for a BC pocket.

Dive frequency is also an indicator of the type of light you need. If you only dive a few times a year, you can go with a light powered by disposable batteries, but if you are an avid diver, you might look into rechargeable lights to save money on batteries.

LOW VISIBILITY

When diving in murky water, look for a light with a high beam-ratio to pierce through the murk and keep reflected light to a minimum.

ACTIVITIES Considering your specific diving activity is important when selecting the right light. For example, if you’re strictly night diving you’ll want a light with the highest lumen rating, but if you’re diving in low visibility water, you’ll need a light with a narrow beam and as little stray light possible to cut through the murk.
