To assure access to a Grammar education for your child, in 2015 Townsville Grammar School opened the Early Education Centre at its North Shore campus, closely followed by the opening of the junior primary years programme in 2017. These young Grammarians are enrolled in much more than a school - they are immediately embraced as part of the Grammar Community, with a history dating back to 1888. Both the Early Education Centre and the Junior School at Grammar’s North Shore Campus ensure a careful balance of academic encouragement, sporting and cultural excellence. Personal best in these endeavours is promoted to all our children. The state of the art North Shore Campus is located in the Northern Beaches area and caters for students from Pre-Kindy (3 years old) to Year 4 with outstanding facilities and hand picked quality staff.

their cognitive, physical and social abilities to their full potential; but also with a sense of joy and enthusiasm for school. Townsville Grammar School Early Education Centre is the first entry point to the School community. With the opening of the North Shore campus, Townsville Grammar School welcomed its youngest Grammarians with Pre-Kindy being available to 3 year olds. At the EEC you can choose from a 3, 4 or 5 day programme with Before and After School Care from 6.30am until 6.00pm, 50 weeks per year. The Centre is also CCB accredited. At Grammar you will discover so much more than just a school. A busy child is a happy child so we ensure school life is much more than just the academic curriculum. Students have the opportunity to partake in a wide range of co-curricular activities, including include musical groups for choirs as well as art and chess clubs. In collaboration with their Annandale campus buddies, the Grammar North Shore children can participate in a wide range of sporting, musical and cultural activities. The Music Programme aims to develop foundation musical skills encompassing musical literacy and playing. Individual music tuition is offered in a variety of instruments including Piano and Guitar.

Campus Capabilities Townsville Grammar School offers fully air-conditioned, purpose built classrooms. All classrooms are resourced with state of the art technology such as interactive whiteboards and access to wireless networked laptop computers. All classrooms have a quiet reading room, a kitchen, practical learning area and a preparation room. Other facilities include a large covered area where children can play and have their PE classes in a sun protected area, an activity room is designed for Performing Arts and Outside School Hours Care programmes, and fully equipped music specialist teaching spaces. All of the Grammar campuses are connected with buses from the North Shore area travelling to both the North Ward and Annandale campuses each day to cater for all of the children in your Grammar family.

Enrolment Charges Application Fee $110 Confirmation Fee $300 Before & After School Care and Vacation Care are also available for Grammar children. These are also accredited with Centrelink. When can my child start? Pre-Kindy: Pre-Kindy children must turn three before they join the Pre-Kindy programme and may enter as a student any time after their third birthday. However, they will remain in Pre-Kindy until they are due to commence in Pre-Prep.
