TO W N S V I L L E GRAMMAR SCHOOL 2013 Calendar

Opening doors since 1888

Our Mission Our mission is to provide a high quality learning environment where our students are nurtured and challenged to strive for their personal best in all of their endeavours.

Past, Present and Future

Mr Richard Fairley PRINCIPAL

Established in 1888, Townsville Grammar School is the oldest secondary school in North Queensland and the most northern of the original Grammar Schools founded in the late 19TH century. 2013 is a particularly special year for the School as we celebrate our 125TH Anniversary. Today it is a contemporary Pre-Prep to Year 12, co-educational, day and boarding school committed to academic, cultural and sporting excellence. Our culture of achievement and reputation for setting standards is hard earned and one that is a source of collective pride in a school that also enjoys a strong sense of community. The School continues to enjoy a phase of unparalleled development growth and yet has not lost sight of its core values and commitment to a broad liberal education. Our academic standing has been further enhanced by our accreditation as an International Baccalaureate World School offering the highly acclaimed IB Diploma, a course recognised throughout the world. Please visit our website at www.tgs.qld.edu.au
