Teens’ grog theft arrest

TWO TEENAGERS have been denied bail after being arrested over an alleged aggravated break-in and theft of alcohol at a Tweed Heads business on Monday, February 20.

The two 16-year-old males were remanded into custody after the alleged break, enter and theft at a retail premises on Wharf Street in the early hours of Monday morning.
Police patrolling nearby arrested one of the teenagers in Empire Lane and the other was caught in Jack Chard Park shortly after the break-in, with police recovering stolen alcohol.
A crime scene was established and later processed by forensic specialists.
The youths were taken to Tweed Heads Police

Station where they were charged with aggravated break, enter and stealing.
An aggravated break and enter is when someone breaks something in order to gain access to a building or premises.
Both were refused bail and appeared before the Tweed Heads Children Court Tuesday, February 21.
