A true love child of sublimely talented vocalists/musicians, Wild Thyme is Arlene Fletcher (double bass), Katie Crane (guitar) and Laura Targett (fiddle) (pictured below right).

Cross-pollinating their inspirations and backgrounds in bluegrass, klezmer, gypsy-jazz, swing, and traditional European folk, their fortuitous friendship in our part of the world sparked a collaboration that thrills live music lovers every time they play.

Their sound is innovative and exciting, characterised by driving, high-energy tunes and stunning harmonies.

Wild Thyme brings an edge-of-your-seat joy to any stage and the genuine rapport the women share makes the mastery of performers at the peak of their powers appear effortless.

The trio brings its diverse cultural legacies from around the world and combines them with new influences, sparkling originality and rousing inventive tunes.

Targett, who lived in the Northern Rivers for many years, has often spoken of the group’s closeness and the distinctive quality that brings to the all-female ensemble.

She believes the unique energy they bring to their performances is a genuine authenticity and true fusion of the music they love delivered with passion, and she can’t wait to bring it to the region she holds dear to her heart.

They will also perform at the Star Court Theatre in Lismore the night before, as part of the Regional Venue Collective’s mission to bring great bands to our area.

This launch tour is especially exciting for the group, eager to share the fruits of their new album, Between Worlds. Greg Sheehan, local legend and beloved percussion maestro features as special guest, and features on the album.
