Women in Business #EmbraceEquity
This year, FUN TIME PERFORMERS celebrates 23 years providing a creative outlet for the children of the Tweed and surrounding areas. Since the beginning, Daina Hogan has been at the helm of this iconic business, building the con dence of primary school-aged boys and girls through dance, drama and song. It’s been a personal mission of Daina’s to make sure children experience the arts in a fun and friendly environment, developing their potential both personally and artistically. In Daina’s own words “My passion is watching children grow, not so much in talent but in self-esteem and con dence. I have witnessed it too many times to count. This is what brings me the most joy.”
It’s a testament to Daina’s entrepreneurial mindset and business skills that Fun Time Performers has survived the pandemic. The business has bounced back stronger than ever! Over the years Daina has carved out a niche that di erentiates Fun Time Performers from other performing arts schools. Children receive weekly instruction by expert teachers in song, drama, and dance. Along with a range of performance coaching, students learn several numbers that they ultimately perform on stage in a nal variety concert. “Students experience performing in a real show with professional sound and lighting, multiple acts, quick costume and set changes, backstage organisation, the works. The children’s excitement on concert night is palpable and they really wow the audience. It’s a special thing to watch.”

I would encourage women to dream big and believe in themselves. Identify and clear any limiting beliefs that stand in their way. Through selflove, clarity and alignment, they can achieve success and fulfilment in all areas of their life.
Q: What advice would you give other women to succeed in business?
Lauren Budd - Misfits
One of the best ways for women to succeed in business is to support, celebrate and promote each others business loudly. If there’s two women in your network that you think you should meet, make the connection. When you see another woman doing something amazing with her business, comment on it, share it, spread the word.

If you notice an opportunity come up that you think someone would be a great fit for, pass it along.
“The power of women coming together is incredible.”
CHANGE YOUR MIND, CHANGE YOUR LIFE
While we see less of Skye in the pharmacy, she is very much on the wellness trail in her role as a Psych-K Facilitator. In her twenty years of caring for customers, she noticed that the customers’ beliefs and attitudes about their life had an impact on their health, and conversely, their health had an impact on their beliefs and attitudes. With a keen interest in this, Skye started learning about quantum science and neuroscience. On discovering that 95% of our behaviours are run from the subconscious level of mind, she saw this as a major point of impact. After releasing trauma and self-limiting beliefs of her own through Psych-K, Skye now assists clients to process and release fears, trauma and unwanted thought patterns at the subconscious level and instil empowering beliefs. “The results I’ve observed are a beautiful combination of self-love, clarity and fulfilment; and in some cases, clients have even experienced physical healing which blows me away every time”.

As Skye’s passion leads her to cultivate self-love throughout the world, she would encourage anyone and everyone to learn this incredible method for themselves. Whether you’d like to find some mental freedom for yourself, or add this tool to your professional offerings, the ripple effect is profound and uplifting. 3-day Basic workshops are held at the Gold Coast three times per year (next one March 11-13th).
