My name is Kathy Ward, the owner/ operator of e Laser, Skin and Beauty Specialists, operating for 18 years in the Tweed Shire.

I am a therapist that strongly believes that our industry can bring not just joy and relaxation to clients, but also give increased self-esteem. My clients leave my salon feeling renewed, relaxed and rejuvenated. Most of my clients have been returning for many years and use a big variety of my services’

I have had 35-years’ experience in the beauty industry as a quali ed beauty therapist and have previously owned hair and beauty salons in other states.

My family and I have lived in Chillingham for almost 23 years, and we love our village and entire area.

My triplets have grown up here and we are all blessed to have made lifelong friends. We are a small business family, with all of my children being self employed or working in the small business sector as well.

We have a real passion for supporting small business and feel it is the backbone of our beautiful community.

I have continued to upgrade my skills over many years to meet the consumers’ needs and now o er many services including: Cosmetic Tattooing, IPL hair removal, Diather- my for facial capillaries and red spots, facials waxing, tinting and more.

I have also mentored up-and-coming therapists and want to continue to pass on my knowledge to others, and teaching at Kingscli TAFE in our beauty section allows me to do that.

I run my business from Chillingham and soon to be announced new location.... ere are always challenges in any type of business, but if you are dedicated to providing the best treatments and services possible, with excellent customer service, you will overcome a lot of them.

I tell other women to follow what you love, be passionate, be open to new ideas, and be con dent in yourself and your skills.
