To be successful in business as a woman, I believe you need to understand your strengths and weaknesses. You build on your strengths and you work on your weaknesses. At MANA we have an awesome team who support you, no matter what your role.

Working for a business that allows me to work part time has been incredibly important to me as I strive to create my own ‘work life balance’. Working at MANA has allowed for this which I absolutely love and appreciate.

As a people person, I feel the culture of an organisation is crucial to its success. I like that MANA not only focuses on the culture of the team but on fostering a relationship with the community. I feel part of the tribe.

It’s important to work in an environment where you feel supported. I feel supported every day at MANA. I have a team of experienced agents and successful team members guiding me along the way.

SARA SULLIVAN’S TRANSFORMATIONAL PATH LED HER TO BE EMPOWERING WOMEN ... FROM CHAOS TO CALM

I made the seachange from North West Slopes & Plains area of NSW some 27 years ago. I’ve enjoyed raising my 2 children here in the Tweed Shire. It’s so beautiful here and has so much to offer families. I had a State Government Job in Murwillumbah 2000-2012 and after a forced redundancy I was shattered. I had responsibility for my 2 children to support and grow up.

From a crisis opportunities arise, you don’t often see it straight away. I had a curiosity and an ongoing need for answers to personal issues like why I felt I sucked at relationships, why I was struggling with self-worth, selfdoubt, limiting beliefs about my future prospects and I had a low happiness factor. These and similar are actually common to many women. Outwardly, I just got on with life. This inner unrest led to my midlife study bonanza. Also to my life purpose! Yes, I’d had an ‘impactful’ ‘colourful’ childhood. I wanted solutions, I wanted inner ease and to finally feel OK.

Over 4 years, I studied while working part time and gained qualifications as a Counsellor and P.S.H. Therapist. Running Clear Minds Natural Therapy from 2014, I supported many clients to resolve their troubling issues by following the P.S.H. process, honouring the subconscious-mind to gently resolve without having to involve analysing or discussion of specific events.

Early 2022, I came across a REVOLUTIONARY female formulated Womens Empowerment Program. I saw that Women were getting lasting results immediately, without having to revisit events. Guaranteed. Wow! I immediately researched, studied and qualified as a Transformologist®. My own personalised Creatrix® Breakthrough was astonishing. This led to my launching ‘Business Women Prospering’. Before and After stories are compelling and inspiring. I’m sharing my personal development story hoping women realise they don’t need to put up and push through with inner pressure chaos, stress or unhelpful head chatter. From a personal development program that’s designed especially for women I’ve gained greater inner wisdom. I’m so grateful daily life is easier, decision making is easier and I have calm in my heart and mind. Contact me for a chat to redefine your future.

Print Spot Group has now been operating for over 30 years in Murwillumbah. Owner and Operator Vanessa Hampton has built strong relationships within our community and printing industry for the last 17 years, specialising in customer relations for Marketing and Branding. Her background is team management and looking after the needs of customers to help bring their visions to life. First impressions count when it comes to business branding and signage. Potential customers may visually make a judgment, as to whether they feel a business is professional. That is where Print Spot Group can help as your one Stop Printing and Sign Shop. If you’re looking for rebranding or starting a new business they can cover it all, as there are many services they offer.

Customer service and listening to the needs of clients is very important to Vanessa and her team. She finds it so rewarding seeing clients light up and motivated, when they are able to showcase their business and dreams with their finished products and signage.

It has been a challenging road from when Vanessa took over the business, the pandemic hit and then the business was impacted by the 2022 floods. A positive outlook and perseverance is Vanessa’s strong points.

They are lucky to have such amazing clients that continue to support their family business and they always look forward to building a business relationship with new clients.

Q: What advice would you give other women to succeed in business?

Jodi Cottle – Laser Clinics Australia

If you have staff, start by making sure you have value alignment. This means you are all rowing in the same direction and towards the same goals! Having a strong customer experience strategy is important. Listen to your customers, implement their feedback (within reason) to continuously improve, and have a process in place where you are collecting their feedback monthly. Above all, to succeed in business, persevere, be brave and remember, the first 18 month are usually the hardest!
