Welcome
I would like to welcome everyone into our 6th year in the AJFHL. The Sherwood Park Steele were instrumental in starting this league and with the huge support from the rest of the league, it is coming together to form a premier league. The Sherwood Park Steele are in the rebuilding stages and have always had a strong program on and off the ice. We are very excited to work with a couple new coaches that have come on board to help move us in the right direction. We have several graduating Junior players that continue to be a part of our club and this pays dividends in the end. They believe in what we are doing and continue to support our club.
The coaching staff and I believe there is a fundamental responsibility to educate and train our players in the way of champions. A huge amount of time has gone into building a foundation for long term success for this season and beyond. It is equally important to build young women of "Championship Character" who will become leaders in our communities, schools and in their homes. Our girls have responded with enthusiasm and work very hard both on and off the ice. We hope to create a competitive group of girls that compete at all times and are working towards a Championship Program.
Glenn Ball, Head Coach
Looking forward to every practice and every game. Glenn Ball

Home town: Slave Lake, AB How long have you been playing hockey? 9 yrs Best Hockey Advice: Your only as good as your last game so keep striving to be better and Don't stop believing. Why do you love playing competitive hockey? Because it allows me to feel the thrill of winning and the disappointment of losing which has proven to be very helpful in preparing me for the reality of life. I owe a lot of my success this far to my competitive edge and teamwork attitude, I wouldn't have that if it wasn't for hockey. I think the best is yet to come for me but one of the best feelings is when I visit my parent’s house in my hometown and I see their fridge covered with my hockey stats and pictures cut from old newspapers, it really makes me reflect on my accomplishments and how lucky I am to have had people who supported me every step of the way.
