I had 200 pictures to give out, thinking I would probably give away 20 or so, but I gave away all 200, signing each one. There were over 500 children, it was incredible. First to have groups for Gays in high schools, but to be able to speak to them as Miss Gay USofA was truly rewarding.

A Follow Up Interview with

Lawanda

Jackson Before Lawanda gives up her title as the current Miss Gay USofA, I wanted to her share some of the rewarding experiences she has had over the past year.

So did you always want to be Miss Gay USofA? Allen, you know just winning the title of Miss Gay Texas (USofA) is all many of the girls want. Miss Gay Texas is a legacy in the South. So winning it is ‘a dream come true’. When I won, I was so excited that I didn’t really think about becoming Miss Gay USofA. I really didn’t. Then as I was traveling across the state doing the Texas prelims, people would say “Oh Lawanda, we are really looking forward to you being Miss Gay USA” and I thought “Oh, ok”, and didn’t think anything of it. I am telling you I really didn’t give it a thought. I knew that as Miss Gay Texas, I would go to Miss Gay USOFA to compete. If I win, I win. If I don’t, then I don’t. That was my mindset. So when I won Miss Gay USofA, it blew me away. I started to travel across many

Lawanda, recently you were invited to Oregon to speak to a group of children there regarding teenage suicide. Would you tell us about it?

It was called A day of Silence and a Night of Noise. The Gay Alliance had put it together for the high schools’ Gay student groups in the area. It was fabulous! They have a Gay mayor who was there. There were bands and I was the guest speaker. I was overwhelmed with the all children there and when I spoke you could hear a fly flying across the room. As I finished my speech, I told them that if one person, got the message, then it was worth it. I had all the students stand up and turn to the person next to them and say “I am going to be somebody and I am not going to let anyone steal my joy”. It was fabulous.

Photo by TiosPhotography.com states, going to places I had never been before. I would meet people who would curtsey, bow, and kiss my hand. Sometimes they had tears in their eyes. I would speak at prelims and was getting standing ovations. What an uplifting feeling.

What was one of your very best experiences as Miss Gay USofA? My trip to Ptown. I arrived in Boston so late that I was afraid I had missed the last flight to Ptown. I had to get to Terminal C and it was a long way away. When I departed the plane, I was met by a tall man that asked me if I was Miss Gay USofA. I told him I was, and he took my arm in his and said “Follow me” as he took me to the correct terminal and gate. He had a badge, but I didn’t know what it was for. When we arrived, there was applause and people smiling and happy to meet me. I was in awe. We all boarded and I didn’t get to thank the man who got me there. As I am on the plane trying to figure out where he went, I suddenly realized that the man who had escorted me across the airport was the pilot of the plane. He had asked all the other passengers if they would be willing to wait for a special passenger on their flight (which was the last one that evening) and that the passenger was the current Miss Gay USofA. Amazingly no one minded waiting. Can you believe that? They had waited 45 minutes, and greeted me with applause and smiles. I invited the pilot to the pageant that night as my guest. Later I found out he was the pageant promoter too. When I had the microphone I told the story to a packed house. You could have heard a pin drop. I told them I had been in a lot of places, met a lot of famous people, but this one time in my life…I felt like I meant something to somebody being Miss USofA. They stood applauding, shouting, and beating the rafters. The sound was astounding! It went on for what seemed like

minutes. Who does that? What a feeling! I still have excitement chills just talking about it. Ptown is a magical place. Being Miss Gay USofA is more than I could ever have hoped it to be. Lawanda Jackson was Miss Gay Texas USofA when she won her ultimate achievement as Miss Gay USofA in 2012. Her crowning that night broke through ceilings that formerly were thought to be made of stone. Many believed the Miss Gay USofA title was for young girls only, with the winners always being in their 20’s and 30’s. Lawanda became the oldest person ever to win the esteemed title at age 51. She also is the only person to have won this title who previously had won (in 2009) the title of Miss Gay USofA Classic, a pageant for those ages 40 and over. This coming Memorial Day weekend, on Friday, May 24th Lawanda will crown the new Miss Gay USofA winner at the Palladium in Dallas.

Scrape the bowl one last time, add the flaked coconut, lemon zest, and vanilla extract, and mix at medium speed until the batter is smooth and fluffy, 20 to 30 seconds.

Kitchen By Blue Jean Granny

Scrape the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly. Run a knife through the batter and tap the pan against the counter to dislodge trapped air. Bake until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with only moist crumbs clinging to it, 45 to 55 minutes. Cool in the pan for 10 to 15 minutes.

Lemon-Coconut Pound Cake Good Morning Fellow Cooks,

Glaze the Cake:

Last issue we laid out a great Mother’s Day Brunch, but ran out of room for dessert. I think you will find this is definitely worth the wait.

While the cake bakes, stir together the confectioner’s sugar and lemon juice until smooth. After the baked cake has cooled for 15 minutes, turn the warm cake onto a serving plate. Using a skewer, poke holes all over the cake. Brush the cake—every visible inch of it—with the glaze, until the glaze is gone. When the cake is completely cool, the glaze will form a protective crust over the cake.

Now for dessert: You can make it the day before.

Lemon Pound Cake Ingredients for the Cake: 10 oz. (1-1/4 cups) unsalted butter, softened at room temperature; more for the pan 10-1/4 oz. (2-1/2 cups) cake flour or 11 oz. (2-1/3 cups) unbleached all-purpose flour; more for the pan

Make ahead tips

1-1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. table salt 1-3/4 cups granulated sugar 2 large egg yolks, at room temperature 3 large eggs, at room temperature 1/2 cup whole milk, at room temperature 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice 1 cup loosely packed sweetened flaked coconut 1 Tbs. finely grated lemon zest 1-1/2 tsp. pure vanilla extract

You can serve this cake plain, with a few sliced strawberries, some whipped cream or a...

The cake will keep at room temperature for 5 to 7 days.

Quick Lemon Sauce Ingredients:

1-1/4 cups confectioners’ sugar 6 Tbs. fresh lemon juice

3/4 cup granulated sugar 5 teaspoons cornstarch Dash salt 1 1/2 cups boiling water 1 heaping tablespoon finely grated lemon zest 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice 1 tablespoon butter

Baking the Cake:

Preparation:

For the Glaze:

Position a rack in the center of the oven and heat the oven to 350°F. Butter a 12-cup Bundt pan, dust the pan with flour, and tap out the excess. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt until evenly combined.

In a saucepan, combine the granulated sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Add boiling water and cook, stirring constantly, until mixture is thick and clear. Stir in lemon zest, juice, and butter. Serve warm over a cake, dessert, or bread pudding.

In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat the butter and the sugar at medium speed until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.

Makes 2 cups of lemon sauce.

On low speed, beat in the yolks until smooth. Stop the mixer and scrape the bowl and the paddle. With the mixer running on medium-low speed, add the whole eggs, one at a time, mixing for at least 20 seconds after each addition. Stop the mixer and scrape the bowl and paddle again. With the mixer running on the lowest speed, add half of the flour mixture and mix just to combine, add the milk and lemon juice and mix until combined, and then add the remaining flour mixture and mix just until combined.

Pg. 12

Make ahead and warm just before serving or serve cold if you like. Hope you and your Mom enjoy this brunch and wish her a Happy Mother’s Day from me. Until next time work smart, play hard and take time out for a cookie. Show Blue Jean Granny how much you love her recipes and hints or make a dish suggestion for upcoming articles. in life! “I had such an amazing time watching the crowd have fun, dance, let loose and such a sense of pride in that I was the catalyst in supplying that atmosphere for them.” He’s since gone on to spin and headline the Bear Bust at the Parliament House in Orlando, “It. Was. AMAZING! The crowd was surreal, the atmosphere and energy was through the roof (and we were outside) and seeing the faces of the people dancing, having a great time will be something I won’t ever forget.” Since then, he’s gotten lots of phone calls for out-oftown gigs, one of which was Bearracuda Houston, which was a smashing success held at our Eagle. When asked what the most memorable gig was he’s spun, he says it was the Out Youth Prom in Austin, “Just to see these kids, Jr High, High School having such a great time and no “labels”. It’s not they were just gay but they were just kids, doing what kids do not caring who was around, who was watching and dancing unashamed. One of the best experiences of my life” he smiles.

DJ Spotlight By DJ Mark D

DJ C-Rail The Iron Bear (Austin)/ Castro’s Warehouse/Scruff Having started DJing just a little while ago, there’s a rising star who’s making a lot of noise just down the road from us, here’s the scoop on one of Texas’ newest, sexiest and strongest DJs: C-Rail His home bar is both the Iron Bear in Austin – which is a fun place! It’s very similar to the Eagle here in Houston with the manly, muscled and hairy types cruising around. I was there a few weeks back and found that my ass couldn’t stop bopping up and down to the beat….so I introduced myself to the DJ. Crail Bench, a.k.a. known as DJ C-Rail was behind the turntables and was rocking it! I pulled him aside for an impromptu interview because I knew you’d want to know more about this muscle bear. “I got started DJing a year ago August 2011” Crail says, “I’d been bartending on a patio here in Austin and my Sunday beer bust crowd loved my music. A few months later a couple of friends asked me to create a party for their birthday, along with my partners and I should DJ for it. I had never DJ’d before outside of just pushing “play” on my iPod.” He knew he’d have to tackle the learning curve, so he was smart about it and enlisted the help of a buddy, “I got with one of my good friends and fellow DJ Bryan Konrad (Smith) and he gave me advice, showed me the systems and got me started out on what has become a very fun path for me.” His first official gig was the “Trois” party at the Iron Bear a year ago – which was a big success and showed him exactly what he was destined to do

Pg. 14

His career ambitions are all surrounding his family and giving back to the community, “My partner of 11.5 years and our pug and cat. DJing has become an outlet for me to be able to feel that I’m “giving back” to the community here in Austin that has been so great to me since I moved here back in 2001. My heart has a passion for fundraising and charity organizations and if I could become a “go to” DJ for such events, I would have a feeling of complete fulfillment in giving of my talents to such organizations that give so much to our community.” The path that he travels now took considerable effort to get to as Crail realized some personal issues that have made him into the person he is today – and the reason he chooses to give back to our community with the tenacity he has within. “I went through a very rough “coming out” period in Houston 2000 where a dark depression came over me that unfortunately included a suicide attempt. I was outed, asked to leave my job, called off my wedding and was all but homeless for a couple of weeks living in my truck” he recalls, “things are much different now as I’m blessed with a wonderful husband of 11.5 yrs, we just moved into the house we built into one of the most wonderful neighborhoods we could’ve ever asked to have found. We have a little pug named Lulu Belle LaRue and a tabby cat named Squeaks.” Come out and support a Lonestar boy as he plays in Galveston at Stars Beach Club (Friday, May 17 th) and for the Official Bearwatch 14 Afterparty (May19th) at Eagle Houston, you’ll hear and feel the energy….plus you’ll see me under that GIANT mirrorball! WOOF!

Illogical Arguments Against Marriage Equality “Are we sick perverted deviants who just want sex all the time or are we not able to have sex because we don’t have the right equipment? I’m confused.” My fiancée and I were discussing arguments made against same-sex marriage when all of a sudden it dawned on me, the anti-gay camp sends out some seriously contradictory messages. When I sat down and considered some of the conflicting arguments against marriage equality I thought that my mind might explode. These arguments are so conflicting that a person could easily think that they were made by opponents, not people on the same side of an issue. Homosexuals Are Sexual Deviants Who Cannot Have Sex I have heard some anti-equality folks argue that gay people are lustful, sexual deviants. Our sexual proclivities are so heinous that according to some in this group, Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed by God to accentuate this point. I remember hearing the story in church as a kid. The homophobic leaders of our congregation explained that the men in the towns where turned on by the angel that God sent, to the extent that even being stricken with blindness did not deter them from trying to hook up with the heavenly creature. As if any person’s sex drive is so strong that the loss of eyesight would not put a pin in their aroused state. This belief also makes the false claim that all gay people have an amped up sex drive, which is simply not true. Other opponents to marriage equality have argued that same-sex couples do not have the “right equipment” to even engage in sex. The most crude (and confusing) version of this argument is that it all comes down to “basic plumbing.” Just recently Sue Everhart, the Chairwoman of the Georgia GOP, told The Marietta Daily Journal

Pg. 20

“Lord, I’m going to get in trouble over this, but it is not natural for two women or two men to be married. If it was natural, they would have the equipment to have a sexual relationship.” Does Chairwoman Everhart not consider anal sex, mutual masturbation, or oral sex to be a natural sexual relationship? There are many types of “natural” sexual encounters that people of all sexual orientations enjoy. Both of these arguments a flawed when they are considered individually and they make less sense when they are examined together. These two perspectives cannot logically coexist, yet they both come from the anti-equality camp. How in the world can gay people be super-sexed heathens looking to fornicate at any moment while simultaneously lack the physical ability to have sex? This is not the only mixed up message presented by people who would deny marriage equality. Homosexuals Will Hurt The Children That They Are Unable To Produce Another argument that I hear against marriage equality is that same-sex marriage will hurt children. Some people go so far as to compare same-sex child rearing to child abuse; think of Anita Bryant and her “Save Our Children” campaign in the 1970’s. People who support this argument conveniently overlook the number of professional organizations that have spoken out against this myth. The list of organizations that support same-sex parents include: The American Psychological Association, The American Academy of Pediatrics, The American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and The American Psychiatric Association. The argument that same-sex homes will harm children is in direct conflict with another absurd claim; that same-sex marriages cannot produce children.

TWIT

May 10, 2013

People who support this argument seem to forget about artificial insemination, surrogates and the number of children looking to be adopted. There is no shortage of children looking for loving homes in our world. I cannot imagine anti-marriage equality proponents telling heterosexual couples that their relationships are illegitimate because of their inabilities to conceive a child together. Are these same opponents of equality telling adopted families that they are not actual families because they did not birth their children? Again, both of these claims are unable to hold up to scrutiny individually, and they completely fall apart when they come from the same side of the marriage equality issue. How can same-sex couples harm the children that they are unable to produce? These contradictory arguments puzzled me for a while, and then it finally made sense. I think these anti-marriage equality folks realize that equality is close and they are afraid. As we progress towards full equality our challengers will grow more frightened and make any claim to try and halt the inevitable. These illogical claims used to anger me, but I am moving beyond frustration. Now, I try to feel proud when I hear hastily thrown together arguments against marriage equality or when I encounter politicians trying to discriminate against me and other LGBTQ individuals. They are reminders that we are closer to obtaining our civil rights that have been denied us for too many years. Their fear means equality is near.

Motivation By Jennifer Webb

The Magic of Possibilities The word magic signifies making the impossible possible, doing feats -- without discernible explanation -- that cannot be done. And with magic our minds leap past the probabilities and realities of life to the unimagined possibilities that our education and logic tell us is not possible. Magic is a mindset unto itself.

Link between Magic and Neuroscience Research now indicates magic and neuroscience are linked, and what the brain chooses to believe (illusion?) is every bit as doable, whether it seems logical and probable or not. The overly simplistic explanation is that in order to save much energy and time, the brain “sees” what it already knows (regardless of how accurate the brain might be), and puts most new material into the old paradigms in order to get on with business. Therefore people who have always thought one way will continue to “see” the world within the same parameters, no matter how much new material is offered or even how motivated they are to change, unless there are specific actions to help create different beliefs. How do we change someone’s reality from one of worry or uncertainty to one of possibilities and infinite opportunities? There obviously isn’t one simple answer, if there was it would have been capitalized on long ago and we could all take an attitude pill. But awareness, explanation, example and modeling are all tools that can start to shift the mind set. For example, in order to help individuals be the people you know they have the potential to become, it’s essential to realize there can never be a one size fits all when challenging people to step outside their comfort zones. We often see an initiative of

Pg. 22

some sort where everyone has the same goals and deadlines and incentives; inevitably some excel and for others it is meaningless.

Misdirection Mindset To help people see the possibilities within a department, project or company, start by creating magic. By that I mean that magic misdirects, throwing old belief systems into a tail spin so there is room for consideration of other approaches, other outcomes. Magic asks you to look in one direction while something takes place independently, from a completely different direction. As an example, what that might look like is leading a meeting in an entirely different manner, asking everyone to come prepared to talk about what they love best about an idea or how it could be made to be more fun, instead of approaching it from goals, potential revenue and timelines. The reason this is relevant is because when we are stuck thinking in a specific mindset, we are absolutely blind to alternatives. Shaking up the norm misdirects the brain into thinking of other possibilities. A strange but relevant example would be the magic pickpocket (who performs for people’s amusement). To steal a watch off someone’s wrist the pickpocket places more pressure on the shoulder or elbow of the opposite arm, thus the brain is reflecting pressure in one area and ignoring the smaller pressure on the wrist, a classical example of misdirection.

Magical Pickpockets and Business Meetings I often thought that anyone performing this type of effect had shills, those folks who pretended to

be surprised when an item was taken. Many years ago a brilliant entertainer called Avner the Eccentric (he was the “jewel” in the movie Jewel of the Nile) was performing at the Lillian Beaumont Theater in New York. Many of us were having dinner together and right before dinner I asked Avner if the people in his show were all shills because on stage it really wouldn’t be possible to take something from someone, unnoticed. Avner touched my shoulder and replied, “let’s talk about it at dinner”. Sometime during dinner he held up my watch and said “Jennifer, is this yours?” He had taken it from me while we were talking! Help people see themselves in the roles where you want them to be excelling, often no one else has seen their potential or challenged them to live up to your expectations. Once someone actually can feel herself in that role, it will start to happen. Example: Teachers used NLP to help accelerate student learning. When a group of children were way below in reading scores educators put the kids in a large theater and asked them to image themselves on the screen reading with joy and ease; how much fun they were having. They were then asked to shrink the image on the screen to the size of a postage stamp and swallow the image. They also went to bed with a tape recorder under their pillow playing a message about the ease with which they read. Reading scores went up appreciably within

May 10, 2013

a few months. They were creating new neural pathways, new ways to look at an old challenges.

Your Attitude/Energy is Always Contagious Don’t forget to expect the results you want. We often do all the work but then get caught in this downward spiral dialogue with ourselves of doubting whether what we’re doing will actually yield the results we want, therefore setting it up to fail. To create a vision of success for others use the magic of your imagination. See it the way you know it can be and as you imagine the power of having it already a reality, others are attracted to your energy; it’s contagious. Abraham Lincoln reminded us example isn’t the most important thing in influencing others, it’s the only thing. When you help attract others to the magic of possibilities, circumstances convene in ways you never thought possible, others pick up and run with your vision and it goes from possibility to reality as effortlessly as any master magician. Beliefs can be turned around and cultures changed, it’s all in the perception! Music By Thomas “DJ Big Daddy” Edmond

Michael Buble “To Be Loved” Reprise Records www.michaelbuble.com Since 2002, Michael Buble has released 10 albums and has never disappointed his fans. His live shows are “oh baby! it’s a heat-fest!” because middle age woman lose their minds and some lose their underwear. I get why Michael Buble is the three S’s: Sexy, Smooth, and Suave, and if it were not odd, I would throw my Joe Boxer undies at him too, but then I’m sure they would throw me out of the arena (why is it ok if women can do that but not men??) Well, Mr. Buble has released his 11th album and it’s another great reason to grab a bottle of Pino and a soak in a hot bubble bath. The album is called “To Be Loved” and I am sure he has no trouble finding love or not being loved. Michael Buble is a modern day Frank Sinatra, but still young enough to not sound overly dated or corny. The best part about his past albums, along with “To Be Loved”, is they are always a fun mixture of standards, soul and current adult pop. His producers work it so well that if you were having a party or just wanted a great mix of music, all you would have to do is pop in one or two of his cds, and there you go! Something for everyone and I am sure someone will ask you, “who is this?” “To Be Loved” has some great songs and surprises on it, like his duet with Reese Witherspoon on the Frank and Nancy Sinatra classic “Something Stupid”. When I saw her name I wanted to jump right to the track, but I didn’t because this cd is that good. It took me in from track one and by the time it got to the duet I was hooked. Reese handles the song as great as Nancy Sinatra did, and they match so well. Come to find out, Michael is a big Reese Witherspoon fan and has a slight crush on her as he has mentioned before in past interviews.

I love the Spanish guitar in the song, it gives me visions of a video of him seeing her (or me) across the room in a Spanish bar somewhere in Mexico, and the room goes empty as he and Reese dance close. I hope Reese does more music. I could see Michael Buble producing her debut album. But don’t worry, Reese Witherspoon isn’t the only big name on this cd of yumminess. He has also reached out to fellow Canadian, Bryan Adams, to help out on the song “After All” in which the vocal blends, thanks to protools, blend so well I really didn’t notice Bryan Adams on the song until I went back and listened to the song for a second time. There are many songs I found myself playing three or five times. I love the big band sound on the songs “You Make Me Feel So Young” and “Come Dance With Me,” with its rumba sound so classic, I could hear Ricky Ricardo doing this song. Then there was his take on the Rod Stewart classic “Have I Told You Lately, I Love You” which he flipped and made it all his own. At first, I thought it was “Love me Tender” by Elvis because it’s sung in that classic Elvis song style. I really think he did that on purpose. Listen to it and tell me if you don’t hear Love Me Tender or any classic 50’s Elvis in his vocals. One of the best treats tucked inside is the Disney-ish songs “You Got A Friend” and “Young At Heart”. “To Be Loved” is something for every Buble fan and right now Michael Buble is hotter than ever and “To Be Loved” should end up being his fourth straight number one album. Aries March 21 April 19 As much as you dream of a perfect and loving union, you need emotional independence, and quickly flee whenever you get the feeling that someone stakes a claim on you. You aren’t afraid of being yourself, you love who you are! Even partners who don’t approve of your doings admire the spirit in which you conduct it! You enjoy good times, but must learn more self control. Once you learn to temper your feelings and appetites with moderation, you’ll achieve greater romantic heights! Taurus April 20 May 20 Although you lavish attention on your partner, you draw the line between money and love. You don’t take chances, choosing to test the merits of a suitor before you commit. Being a realist is admirable and good, but learn to differentiate between romance and finance, after all, love

relationships shouldn’t solely revolve around money and security. You are happiest with a partner who is as serious as you and who is a stabilizing influence. Gemini May 21 June 20 Because you blossom in the company of others, make sure that your lover enjoys social gatherings and fun times outside the bedroom! You are inclined to wilt when occasions are quiet, stimulating conversations, and being on the go make you happiest. Being more progressive, rather than possessive, choose a partner who supports your need to be spontaneous and free. Although you believe in love at first sight, you always remember the dangers from rushing into relationships. Cancer June 21 July 22 Always curious and sniffing about in other’s business, you’re not one to believe everything that’s initially seen or heard, therefore, love affairs often are quizzical tests for you. Asking questions is fine and dandy, but behaving, or acting on doubt, usually isn’t nourishing to anyone! Your hesitation or mistrust of others is rooted in your past. The major test for all Cancers is to learn to enjoy the moment, understand risk, and try to enjoy the flow of any tempest. Leo July 23 August 22 Young at heart, you live for entertaining, happy times. Underneath your optimism, you’re a realist who believes in honesty and laying all cards on the table. Since unions and

companionship top your want list, you know how to employ your social and diplomatic skills in order to maintain harmony in all relationships, familial as well as personal. Even though you believe that “two” is great company and don’t like being alone, you’re not overly dependent on lovers or friends.

meltdowns, and inspire you to have fun, move ahead. You observe the world from your comfy little space on earth, meticulously scrutinizing your own and others behavior. It’s not easy for you to forget past indiscretions because you are so fervently concerned about a lover’s history. Live in the moment rather than recycle old worries!

Virgo August 23 September 22 You don’t settle for second best, nor a lover who’s unable to take care of himself or herself. You place high value on partners who support you unconditionally and without lots of strings attached or old baggage. Many Virgos worry about their image and care immensely about how others feel toward them. Accentuate mutual interests and each other’s strengths, rather than name call or whine. Libra September 23 October 22 You have an easy going, low key approach to relationships. You are well suited for a partner whose moods are steady, one who is elf assured and independent, rather than one who waits for you to make the first move. Your nature keeps you approachable and adaptable, rarely demanding. With your effortless natural charm, you stand out in contrast to those who dramatically struggle for center stage. Scorpio October 23 November 21 Scorpio, love affairs are usually quizzical tests or endless mysteries that you feel you must solve, because otherwise nobody will get any rest! Demanding data about a partner’s history is smart and real, but living in a relationship fueled only by doubt won’t nourish anyone. Never forget that you’re an essential component in the “takes two to tango” scenario! Sagittarius November 22 December 21 You are happiest with a logical, mature and loyal lover who will put up with your worry wart

May May10, 10,2013 2013

Capricorn December 22 January 19 Although quite social and gregarious, you live for intimate one on one relationships. You are a very opinionated, willful partner, easily put off whenever anyone makes the mistake of trying to hold you back in any way. Creative and dramatic, you’re very devoted and give 100% to those you love. You may not be happy in the role as major bread winner, but you’ll invest whatever is necessary in order to make partnerships prosper. Aquarius January 20 February 18 You are a very affectionate and organized partner and expect your attentions to be returned in kind, which may be difficult for your partner. Gaining control over your lover may guarantee a continuing relationship, but it can also take away much of the freedom on which love depends. Having a lover who participates in your creative affairs will make you much more productive and satisfied. Pisces February 19 March 20 It’s not that you doubt every single person that crosses your path, but you’re not one to take things on speculation. For you, there’s always a better, or more effective avenue. Therefore, love affairs quickly become testy or temperamental because you judge companions in black and white contrasts. It’s not that you’re prejudiced; you’re merely a glutton for “how things should be.” Explore a diet in relaxation and faith in others.
