Where are we headed?
A Letter from the Editor
TWiT has always been your resource for what is happening in (Gay) THIS WEEK IN TEXAS Texas. We bring you information on people and events in your city and from across the state. We will grow, to inform you of even more so that you can see what is happening locally and discover what other cities are doing and how we all can benefit from their experiences as well. TWiT will be bringing you more stories on different events so that we all learn what our neighbors are accomplishing and how we can use that information to better our own corner of the world. We are going to do interviews with politicians. We will bring you stories on those that are friendly and those that are not. Equal rights are important to each and every one of us. The way to change the laws to give each of us the same opportunities is to vote the right people into office. Politicians pay attention to groups of voters because it is in their best interest. We will help to bring you information on their beliefs so you know where they stand on issues important to you. We are creating a Real Estate Section in the magazine. As you move within your city or from one city to the next, you want to know who to talk to when buying a house or renting an apartment. You want to be able to sit with an agent and focus on your needs without the underlying criticism of a non-friendly salesperson. We will bring you the resources that will help make your transition a successful and friendly one. We will continue to bring you articles on self-improvement and we are adding health and fitness articles too. Whether your focus is internal or external, we will have insights that will help you in your quest to improve your mind and body. We are planning to do a larger publication every quarter with themes including Travel, Fashion, and Swimsuits. We will continue to bring you articles on music, entertainers, and Blue Jean Granny’s kitchen recipes. TWiT will always support nonprofit agencies, fundraisers and Pride events and will grow this even more. We will be bringing you more stories of the people and organizations that are making a difference in their areas and what we all can learn from their accomplishments. We are committed to bringing you an even better magazine covering more subjects and with a greater impact. We are aiming to return to weekly publications of the TWiT by August of this year and are altering our marketing and distribution to focus on our supporters. We will bring you entertaining events, while marketing with our advertisers for worthwhile causes. A good example of this is the upcoming Bear Watch 14 event in Galveston (see page 26 and 27). TWiT Magazine is a free publication to the reader. It is free because companies, organizations, and individuals pay the magazine to advertise their businesses, causes and events. Advertising dollars pay for the cost of the labor, printing, and distribution of the magazine and thus it is offered to the reader without charge. It is the advertising base that we are going to expand into new areas. We have not forgotten where we came from, however gloss print is not cheap. In order to create this bigger and better TWiT, and be profitable (or at least break even), we must concentrate our efforts on the advertising revenue that supports us. As we look at where the advertising money comes from, we have depended on the support of the bars and clubs, but there is not enough of it. We welcome all the bars and clubs to partner with us and have their businesses advertised in their local city and to travelers from across the state. If you are a bar or club owner, please contact me and I will find an advertising program to fit your needs. In order to bring you (our readers) more of what you are asking for, we are also are inviting the hairstylists, realtors, hotels, restaurants, plumbers, car dealers, lawyers, and all who wish to support a magazine that is read by over 30,000 readers statewide. We are at an intersection so to speak. We can go left, right, or straight ahead. Our choice is to go forward including both the bar/club scene and more mainstream advertising to create a more diverse mix. It works in other areas of the country, it can work here. Change can be a great thing. Get ready.

Blonde Ambition Christopher Daniels Wins Escort of the Year Rentboy.com hosted the seventh annual Hookies Awards in New York City last month. Some of the biggest names in the adult industry competed for people’s choice awards in 16 erotic categories including Biggest Cock, Best Daddy, and Best Ass. The evening’s top prize was the title of Mr. International Escort. That honor went to the man who proves that maybe blondes do have more fun - Christopher Daniels.
Sure, it was great to be nominated, but winning was even sweeter, wouldn’t you say? I would definitely agree! I don’t think I had much over the competition. The guys I went up against were all class act escorts and good at what they did. Not a dirt bag in the bunch. Did you do something special to attract the attention of voters? I offered blowjobs to everyone who voted for me. What did you think when your name was called? Finally, I can stop begging for votes!
Will you be raising your rate now that you are the top hooker in the world? No because when my popularity dies down I will have to lower it again and that would just be embarrassing. It’s going to stay the same. I have no delusions of raising it to $500 an hour and for my phone to be ringing off the hook. Our economy is still in the toilet so that’s not going to happen anytime soon. How much do you make on a typical night? It varies. I rarely see more than one guy a night. I like to give all my attention to one client and if I’m running around town all night with my legs spread then it’s easy to get worn out and become a total hag. Growing up, did you imagine that you would one day be the top hooker in all the world?
What does the win mean for your career? I think this win will help open new doors to promote my Christopher Daniels brand. The best way to stay fresh and employable in this industry is to constantly be evolving. If Madonna has taught us anything it is that success is not solely based on talent. It’s about reinventing your self and staying fresh, relevant and interesting. Who did you thank in your speech? Not a single fucking person because Sharon Needles and the crowd were over it by that point. Sharon gave me my award, said goodnight and walked offstage with the mic. It truly was a

memorable moment for me. All that campaigning and I didn’t even get to thank baby Jesus.
Not really but I’ve always liked attention and I’m a complete narcissist. Escorting is the perfect outlet for that. Will you go around wearing your INTERNATIONAL ESCORT OF THE YEAR 2013 sash? I prefer to be a little more subtle so probably not. Unless I’m an old, washed up hooker crying in my house drunk and alone one day. I’ll put on the sash, hold up my trophies, look in the mirror and say, “What happened to you? You used to be somebody!”

That sex workers are damaged, lost, fucked up people. I mean, we are but no more than the rest of society. Is it a shady business? It can be. Honestly, I think you get what you put out there. Sometimes I read other escorts’ ads and I feel like when you market yourself in a certain way then you are going to get some shady, fucked up people calling you. I get my share of crazies but it is a crazy business. If I didn’t get some colorful characters then I would probably quit and get a 9-5 job. I enjoy quirky people. What do you make of all the recent suicides in the porn/escort industry? It’s really sad and it’s hard to make sense of it all. We’re in a very tough business. Everything is based on outer appearances, excess and it’s easy to get lost in it all. In any industry based on looks and talent, you are going to have some fucked up people. Porn is no different. If you don’t have a strong support network of people then it’s easy to get lost in it all and make poor choices. What it all comes down to is love. We all want to be loved and accepted. If you don’t have that in your life then it can be hard to make it through each day. What do you do on a typical date? Are we talking about with a client or in our personal lives? With a client it varies. It can be dinner, a show,
gambling, conversation, drinks and then whatever else. As for my personal life I don’t date. I have a boyfriend and besides that dating is a nightmare. Are most dates out in public or behind closed doors and under the sheets? They’re both. Depending on what the guy is looking for. I prefer dinners and drinks and then heading up to the room. Do you have regulars? Yes I do. That is something an escort hopes for and works to get. I have some great men I get to see on a regular basis. What keeps your regulars coming back? My charm? Wit? The fact that I always put out? All of the above? Have you ever experienced something close to a fatal attraction? Yikes. No. Thank God. When do you know when a customer is becoming a stalker? When they start contacting you on a daily basis to just talk. I do like to interact with a lot of my clients because they are fun guys and we have a lot of back and forth banter but if I find they start to treat us like a real relationship I start to distance myself a bit. Have you ever walked out on a date? Oh God. Yes, once. There are many I probably should have walked out on but the only one I walked out on was a young guy who had a lot of money, a huge ego and was being incredibly cheap. To

make a long story short, I finally stood up and told him if I stayed there I would really hate myself and I had to leave. He didn’t understand why and the answer is simple. Young, attractive guys with a lot of money are generally really obnoxious and cheap. I have started to focus on respecting myself more and if some guy is going to be an asshole then I don’t care how much money they are going to give me. Self-respect is more important than any amount of money.

It’s fun. I get to travel, make money and I constantly meet interesting people and there is never a dull moment.
Sometimes it is so unbelievably easy its sad. But, then again, there are plenty of times where it is the hardest job in the world. What happens if you’re not sexually attracted to a client? Viagra and fantasizing about something else helps. You also dabble in porn. escorting or porn?

I trained as a dancer my whole life and was a professional dancer here in Vegas. How long can a rentboy career last? As long as you want it to last! Go to the gym, eat healthy, sleep 8 hours a night, be smart, stay healthy and keep good people in your life. What’s the best thing about being a rentboy?
Worst thing? Sometimes you just don’t want to have sex, talk to people, be sexy or even get out of bed. It can be draining. Would you date another escort? I did and it didn’t work out very well but that doesn’t mean it couldn’t. I’m open to anything. What’s your message to haters?
How many films have you done? Too many to count. Can you name the top five you have starred in? My top five would probably be Incubus 2, Men In The Sand, Dripping Wet 4, Hooker Stories and PantyHos. Which job do you prefer? I like both. I think it’s important to constantly mix them up. It’s easy to get burnt out on both so I try to make sure I do both as well as some go-go dancing.
I think it’s sad when people address their haters. If you’re that fabulous to even have haters then let them hate. You have no business trying to change others opinion of you. Besides... indifference is more powerful than hate. What did you do with the HOOKIE AWARD? Where is it now? It’s on my bookshelf above my computer and I am looking at it right now. Mother’s Day Brunch Good Morning Fellow Cooks, May will soon be here, hopefully it will bring loads of pretty flowers, but one thing for sure, it brings Mother’s Day. Remember it is the second Sunday in May, which this year is May 12. Mom always loves and appreciates the cards, the candy, and the flowers. But you know what she wants more than anything else in the world? You got it; your time. So invite her over for a very special brunch made by you, just for her. A lot of this meal can be made ahead of time so you can spend most of your time with that special woman in your life. Spruce up a little, put on your Sunday best. Your Mom will love the dinner and the extra effort you made to show her how special she is. You can put the grungies back on after she leaves. Now let us get on with the days menu. We are going to start with a great cocktail and some munchies.
Directions: In a small skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crisp. Using a slotted spoon, remove to paper towels; drain, reserving 1 tablespoon drippings. In the same skillet, sauté onion in drippings until tender. Transfer to a small bowl; add the cream cheese, mushrooms and bacon. Stir until blended. With a rolling pin, flatten bread slightly; spread each slice with 4-1/2 teaspoons filling. Roll up from a long side and secure with a toothpick. Place seam side down in two ungreased 15-in. x 10-in. x 1-in. baking pans; brush with butter. Broil 4 in. from the heat for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown. Discard toothpicks. Yield: 20 appetizers. You can even do these the night before up to the point you put them in the broiler. Just cover completely with foil and put in the refrigerator. In the morning remove to counter top, take off foil and let come to room temp before broiling. Or these are wonderful also; a little more messy but hey you bought napkins didn’t you? The filling on these can be put together the night before, then just pop it in the microwave a minute or two to warm before filling the mushrooms with it and broiling. Sauté your mushrooms about an hour before Mom arrives, stuff them, cover loosely with clean kitchen towel then you can pop in the oven at the last minute.
Champagne Cocktail Serve 6 Ingredients: 6 sugar cubes 3 teaspoons aromatic bitters 1 bottle (750 ml.) brut Champagne or sparkling wine, well chilled Preparation: Put a sugar cube into each of 6 Champagne flutes or wineglasses. Douse each cube with 1/2 tsp. bitters. Top with Champagne and serve immediately. Note: I know you want to give Mom the best but really the sugar is going to change the taste so you do not need to go for the high dollar bottle. Just a nice bottle of sparkle. While you all enjoy your cocktail let’s have a little tidbit to whet the appetite.
Bacon Mushroom Roll-Ups Recipe
Bacon-Pecan Stuffed Mushrooms Recipe Ingredients: 1 pound large fresh mushrooms 4 tablespoons butter, divided 2 tablespoons canola oil 1/4 teaspoon salt 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion 1 cup soft bread crumbs 6 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled 2 tablespoons chopped pecans 2 tablespoons sherry or beef broth 2 tablespoons sour cream 2 tablespoons minced chives

another use). In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons butter and oil over medium-high heat. Sauté mushroom caps for 2 minutes on each side; sprinkle with salt. Remove with a slotted spoon to paper towels. In the same skillet, sauté onion in remaining butter until tender. Remove from the heat; stir in the remaining ingredients. Spoon into mushroom caps. Place on a broiler pan; broil 5 in. from the heat for 2-3 minutes or until filling is browned. Serve warm. Now for the Entrée...
1/4 cup all-purpose flour (about 1 ounce) 1/4 cup packed brown sugar 1 1/2 tablespoons butter, melted 1 tablespoon honey 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice 1/4 cup chopped pecans, toasted Pears: 3 Anjou pears, peeled and cut in half lengthwise 1/3 cup apple juice 1 1/2 tablespoons apple brandy Preparation: 1. Preheat oven to 375°.
Italian Brunch Casserole
2. To prepare streusel, lightly spoon flour into a dry measuring cup; level with a knife. Combine flour and next 6 ingredients (through allspice) in a bowl. Stir with a fork until mixture resembles coarse meal. Stir in pecans.
Ingredients: 1 (8-ounce) package sweet Italian sausage 8 green onions, sliced (1 cup) 2 zucchini, diced (about 3 cups) 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon pepper 1 (7-ounce) jar roasted red bell peppers, drained and chopped 1 (16-ounce) Italian bread loaf, cut into 1-inch cubes (about 8 cups) 2 cups (8 ounces) shredded sharp Cheddar cheese 6 large eggs 1 1/2 cups milk
3. To prepare pears, using a melon baller or spoon, scoop out core from each pear half. Spoon streusel evenly into pear halves. Place pear halves, cut sides up, in an 8-inch square baking dish. Pour apple juice and apple brandy into dish. Cover dish with foil. Bake at 375° for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 5 minutes. Serve pears warm. Drizzle evenly with cooking liquid.
Preparation: 1. Remove and discard casings from sausage. Cook sausage in a large skillet, stirring until sausage crumbles and is no longer pink; drain. 2. Add green onions and next 3 ingredients to skillet. Sauté 4 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Stir in roasted bell peppers. Drain and cool. 3. Spread 4 cups of bread cubes in a lightly greased 13- x 9-inch baking dish. Top with half each of the sausage mixture and cheese. Repeat with remaining bread, sausage, and cheese. 4. Whisk together eggs and milk. Pour egg mixture over bread. Cover and chill 8 hours. 5. Bake, covered, at 325° for 1 hour or until bubbly and hot.
Now what are we going to serve with that casserole? You can put together a small green salad or I have another idea.
Baked Pears with Streusel Filling
Want to get the pears ready ahead of time also. Of course you do you want to spend as much time as possible with Mom. Just put your filling together, cover and set aside until needed. It won’t take long in the morning to prepare your pears, the stuff them. You can put them in the oven about 15 minutes after you put the casserole in (yes, I know the temp is not the same, but it works) the pears should finish about the same time as the casserole. If the pears are still a little firm when you remove the casserole, just leave in the oven a few more minutes, the casserole will stay warm if you cover it with foil. Hope you and your Mom enjoy this brunch and wish her a Happy Mother’s Day from me. Until next time work smart, play hard and take time out for a cookie. OOPS! We ran out of room for dessert! DJ Spotlight By DJ Mark D
DJ Irene Our spotlight DJ this edition focuses on a true female icon. Hugely popular in the Lesbian sector of our community, she’s been serving up the slammin’ beats for years….and just for the record, I’ve been playing her records for years too! I’m talking about the one and only DJ Irene. If you haven’t heard of DJ Irene, you either live under a rock or do not visit the dancefloor often - truly the divine diva. In our interview, DJ Irene describes her start in the DJ world as happening “In a far, far, far, away place, in a distant galaxy where synthesis travels thru the space of time and distant.” She laughs jokingly and remarks what a formative time period that was, “I was fortunate to have a friend who was a DJ and, of course, I was always curious about mixing. Everyday, I would ask him to teach me how to DJ until one day he challenged me to write down all my 12 inch singles on a piece of paper. The next day, I placed a 20 page list of my collection on his desk. He was quite amazed that my collection consisted of tracks that were not in his collection of 12 inches. The following week, he taught me the basics and the Diva was born.” Currently, the most sought after female DJ talent, Irene finds herself on the road EVERY week! Before that, she had a residences in Hollywood, CA for 15 years at Circus and Arena. “They were two different crowds every weekend. In fact, Arena was an all ages night with 6,000 people every Friday night from 9pm to 4am (before Internet, with no promotion, just word of mouth). Circus is a 21 and over club, in which customers preferred the progressive sound at that time.” Not only did her residencies solidify her talent, but her series of remixes and mix CDs did as well.
Pg. 14
She’s back in the studio remixing tracks for various artists – like Raja (Winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race), Ultra Nate w/ Michelle Williams (from Destiny’s Child), Taryn Manning (Actress, Singer, DJ), Black Cards, Blush, and many more to follow. “I am also producing my own tracks. I just recently finished a track with Eddie Amador featuring Anthony Garza called DJ In the House.” She says “there is more to come, but I prefer to surprise my fans.” Wow! Her sets are truly diverse. She has the talent to identify exactly what her crowd wants. She says she loves to see those hands in the air! “I can go from Stravinsky, Debussy to Afrojack with a little bit of old school. My knowledge of music is very wide.” You can always tell when she’s in the groove – I’ve never seen a more animated DJ when spinning. In fact, you’d swear she was on the dancefloor too. Also, it must have been Irene that invented the “fist pump”….waaaaaay before Jersey Shore lol. One time, she was bouncing around and actually fell off the speakers she was standing on! Ouch! She played it off and got right back up – never missing a beat. She’s still embarrassed about the situation, but says it turned out well. When representing the GLBT community, there’s no greater female DJ talent than DJ Irene. She’s been with her partner for 8 years and plans on keeping the beats fresh and strong as we progress onward. To follow what Irene is doing, check her out on Facebook.com/DjIrene, Twitter.com/DjIrene or Soundcloud.comDjIrene.

I’m Here! I’m Queer!
Don’t Fire Me! Tips On Coming Out At Work
Some people will never have to come out at work. One sashay to the copier and the whole office seems to give each other knowing glances; except for Phyllis, the woman from payroll who ALWAYS leaves the break room reeking of broccoli and fish. No one has made eye contact with Phyllis since she accidentally sneezed while helping Bob blow out the candles on his birthday cake. But I digress; while some inner divas will blow the office closet’s door off its hinges, the rest of the LGBTQ community has to develop a strategy to come out in the workplace. The first step to coming out at your job is to consider the culture of your workplace. Does the company offer partner benefits or does every officemate’s family photo include a wife, a father and 2.5 children? The State of Texas does not protect LGBTQ individuals from workplace discrimination; so consider how much money you might need to save to be financially stable if you are fired. It can be helpful to think about which coworkers might have a difficult time accepting you and prepare for any conflicts that may arise. Some folks who enjoy the privileges that come with heterosexuality may not understand why your sexual orientation needs to be discussed at work. This coworker typically doesn’t realize that when he drones on and on about his weekend trip to the hardware store with his wife, he is discussing his sexual orientation. You may be the
Pg. 20
first LGBTQ person to reveal your minority status to a colleague, so ready yourself for whatever questions they may conjure up. It can be helpful to consider what subjects you are comfortable talking about and what topics may cross your boundaries. When people have their first interaction with the LGBTQ community they may not be familiar with the accurate terms to use, or they may expect you to speak for all people under the rainbow. This may present the opportunity to help coworkers understand new perspectives, but know that you are not obligated to be the ambassador for all things LGBTQ. So, let’s say that your workplace seems pretty accepting and you feel ready to come out. All you have to figure out now are the logistics. There are many ways to come out at work so think about what works for you and consider the culture of your company. Some people like to do it like a bandaid, one quick action and it is done. In a tight-knit working environment personal announcements are often made at weekly meetings, providing a platform to share with everyone at once. If coworkers share things such as illnesses, pregnancies or engagements during these meetings, it might make sense to share your news with everyone this way too. This method might be too bold for some folks. Another means of coming out is to simply put up a photo of a partner and
TWIT
April 26, 2013
wait for coworkers to inquire. (A work-friendly LGBTQ website left open on your computer can be substituted for a significant other.) If news travels quickly at your job, one nosey cubical neighbor can break the story for you. Some people find it easier to first, identify a potential ally at work and then come out to that person. Coworkers who are possible allies might identify themselves by: talking about LGBTQ family members in a positive way, their involvement in LGBTQ friendly organizations, discussing TV shows and movies geared towards LGBTQ folks or by self-identifying as a member of our community. Once a support is established in the workplace, it can be easier to open up to other colleagues. Coming out offers a number of potential benefits. It allows employees more energy and brain power to devote to work tasks. Consider how much effort it takes to actively hide a part of yourself; changing pronouns or making sure your wrist is never limp. It is exhausting! New dating opportunities may develop. A coworker might have been daydreaming of you for months, and coming out offers her the chance to take you out. Your courageous honesty may even inspire the company to become more LGBTQ friendly. Coworkers may have a difficult time remaining unsympathetic about LGBTQ issues once they realize that they work alongside a member of the community. There are a number of positive possibilities to coming out at work. When I reflect on the number of hours people spend at work in a lifetime; I find myself hoping that people can find a safe environment that embraces them for their many attributes, and encourages them to be themselves.

and so Afro-centric. It has been a while since she put out a single and after 5 hit CDs she is releasing a new one to put the world back in a sexy mellow trance. Cocoa Butter is pretty much a way of telling someone you love what they do to your heart. It’s saying that your love soothes and heals and has the same effects that Cocoa Butter would have on your skin. I love how India.Arie is so in tune to her body. (Brown Skin, I’m Not My Hair.) I have played this track so much I would say Rub it all over me! That’s how nice this song is...like Butter.
Laura Mvula - “She” Sony UK Music This young lady came out of the blue and her single is amazing. I have fallen in love with this song and I love her new CD called “Sing to The Moon” It’s very different. I can tell you it’s not pop, it’s not R&B; it’s a different planet to itself. With the single “She” Laura sets the song up so well you just can sit and see the girl she is singing about. To listen to Laura Mvula is like checking out any of Roberta Flack’s first set of albums, (Chapter 2, Killing Me Softly, Quiet Fire). Laura fits in that set of new singers like Lana Del Rey and Jessie Ware (I call it smart girl music). She has striking beauty which is displayed on the cover of her CD and a voice to match. I really don’t see the American music buying public going crazy for Laura Mvula as they had with Adele but, never say never cause it took both Adele and Amy Winehouse 2 albums to make the buying public catch their heat. So I say give Laura a year or so, but jump on it now.

Calvin Harris - “I Need Your Love” (Jacob Plant remix) Sony UK Music After spending the first weekend at the Ultra Music festival, I had to find this mix. Calvin Harris was one of the big highlights of this year’s two weekend event which is held every March in Miami at the
end of the Winter Music Conference. Ultra is a dance music lovers dream. I heard this mix being played from one of the invited DJ’s that was playing in one of the dance tents. I had been hearing the song on the radio and clubs here, but The Jacob Plant remix is hard hitting and at only 4:51 it gets right to the punch. Now the mix Sony is promoting is the Nicky Romero mix which is a big room remix that you will hear at some of the clubs that are over packed and no guys are really dancing just walking around or at some fashion show after party, but the Plant remix is harder and what real EDM (electric dance music) fans want. I would say check out both mixes and you tell me which one you bounce to the most, but if you dig harder there are so many remixes and bootlegs out there I’m sure you will find one mix you like more than these. Well TWiTians, remember music makes the world go around. GROOVES NOT GUNS!! Thomas “DJ Big Daddy” Edmond operates PrideDJsRadio.com and can be reached at DJBigDaddy@TWITmagazine.com. TWIT

When you talk, others quickly know precisely what you mean. You never hesitate to inform lovers what does and doesn’t work for you, however, you’re inclined to underestimate others needs. You have strong physical desires, though you won’t settle for a mere physical relationship. You need someone who is alert, exciting, and inspiring.
You voice your affections concisely but emphatically, often overstating your feelings about love affairs. Generous in your judgment of others, you are kind even when they disappoint you. You meet others more than halfway because you believe that everybody has flaws and can change. You have a strong sense of ethics and social decorum.
Taurus April 20 May 20 Your deep emotional nature makes you trustworthy but not always trusting of others. “For better or for worse” doesn’t sit comfortably with you because you have specific needs and are always on the lookout for what’s best for you! You’re not attracted to passive partners, preferring more energetic and demonstrative ones who don’t burden or slow you down. It takes lovers a great while to gain your trust. Treat everybody like you’d like to be treated in return.
Cancer June 21 July 22 Your obsession with details and perfection often causes stress in your relationships, so it’s a good idea to take a breath and review situations and yourself, a little bit slower! You labor over trifles, worry about competition, ex-lovers, or circumstances that are (really) not in your control, and you overestimate what others expect of you. On the positive side of the coin, you’re very kind, always willing to make things better, and have difficulty telling a lie. Try to relax just a little bit, okay?
Leo July 23 August 22 It’s been said that “all’s fair in love and war.” You understand both games, always follow the rules, and play fair. You don’t like being alone, even though you’re reserved about showing others what may truly be going on inside. It’s not that you’re unaffectionate, your hesitation comes from your fear of rejection, and you don’t like making the first move. The sooner you own up to your insecurities, the quicker you’ll overcome them.

Virgo August 23 September 22 You openly display your cards on the table in order that lovers don’t second guess your motives. You’re upfront and definite about your desires, never hesitant saying what you think. You show your affection by strong devotion and uncanny eloquence. You have a good memory for details such as anniversaries and personal matters, and know when to and when not to debate. As long as both parties are honest, you’re a happy camper.
Libra September 23 October 22 Make sure that your lover likes social gatherings, because your radiant charm is inclined to wilt when occasions get too quiet. Stimulating conversations and being on the go keep you happy. More progressive, rather than possessive, you require an open-minded, gregarious partner who’s not intimidated by intimacy or your independent nature. Although you believe in love at first sight, beware of rushing into relationships!
Scorpio October 23 November 21 It’s imperative that you keep open all lines of communication with your lover all the time, because of your obsession with “your” time schedule, “your” daily details, and “your” must do needs. You can’t help nitpicking over trifles, worrying over small stuff and constantly re-examining everybody’s agenda that is either not in your control nor yours to begin with. On the positive side, you’re always considerate about others feelings, try to make things better, and have difficulty telling a lie(although you’re masterful at spinning convincingly gentle untruths).
Sagittarius November 22 December 21 You view relationships like a business deal-always checking debits and credits, negotiating. Never rash, you enter a what is hoped to be a long-term
April April26, 26,2013 2013
relationship only after much thought, preferring to build momentum slowly but surely. You are tolerant with others quirks and demeanor but are likely to chafe at the bit when loved ones don’t share your outlook. Stop being so defensive; most people are willing to meet you halfway if you give them the chance.
Capricorn December 22 January 19 You require clearly defined, responsible and secure relationships-one night stands don’t spin your wheels. The age of a partner is irrelevant to you, although older and wiser usually wins the prize. Charming and sociable, you fit into many crowds, and have a large circle of acquaintances. An altruistic, “don’t give up” attitude enables you to maintain proper perspective in your love life.
Aquarius January 20 February 18 You are not a demanding lover, and quickly forgive your partner when situations don’t come out as planned. Your expectations are realistic, and you have a good understanding of what can and cannot be achieved in a relationship. When disappointed, you take things in stride, slowly and logically moving forward before quickly returning to second or third gear. You throw yourself wholeheartedly into unions, holding nothing back.
Pisces February 19 March 20 Your straightforwardness quickly informs lovers where they stand. Partners rarely consider you antagonistic, but you assert yourself under pressure and are never one to withdraw from debate. You know what makes you happy and, likewise, what drives you crazy in others. Although you consider yourself open-minded, your need for schedule and routine is voracious, and you have little patience for partners who cannot make up their mind.
