Bentley Bentayga was first unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show during September 2015. It was the first SUV from Bentley incorporating Volkswagen Group's bi-turbo W12 Engine underpinned on the MLB platform. Other popular cars that share the same platform as this SUV include models like the Audi Q7, Audi Q8, Porsche Cayenne, and Volkswagen Touareg. This car is a premium, fivedoor, all-wheel drive, crossover SUV whose body and the engine gets manufactured at the Volkswagen Zwickau-Mosel plant. First made available for the customers in 2016, this gets a fresh paint at Paintbox Editions in Banbury and finally assembled at Bentley’s Crewe Plant in England.

Exterior the front fascia of Bentayga has the signature matrix grille with chrome finish at the borders. It remains flanked on both the sides by two round headlamps. The smaller unit adjacent to the headlight is actually the DRLs, notching up the style quotient.

To enhance the look of the car, there is also an integrated silver skid plate at the lower end of the bumper. The prominent lines on its flank and bonnet add character to Bentayga. The rear is equipped with an integrated spoiler and segmented tail lamps. The external styling for Bentley is well reflected in all its productions.

Interior The interiors of Bentayga can be availed in 15 different colours and personalised in single or dual tone as per the customer’s wish. One gets wooden veneer and metal inlay works that offers a refined upmarket touch. There are 22 ways of adjusting the front seats with six types of massage options offering you utmost comfort in the cabin.

You can either have four or five sitting arrangements in the SUV. The infotainment system is taken care by an 8-inch touch-screen having AMI, CD, MP3 and SD cards connectivity, 60 GB internal storage and working in 30 languages.

Engine This car is powered by a 6.0L W12 Twin Turbo TSI engine in the top-spec generating a maximum power of 600 bhp@5000-6000 rpm and a peak torque of 900 Nm@1350 rpm. The motor remains mated to an 8-Speed fully automatic gearbox supplying power to all the wheels in 40:60 rear-biased split. With rapid acceleration, the car can sprint to 100kmph in just 4.1 seconds. There are two variants available for this SUV in the petrol version- Bentayga V8 and Bentayga 6.0 W12 Price and Competition The price range of Bentley Bentayga ranges between INR 3.78 - 3.85 crore (Ex-showroom, Delhi). It gives tough competition to Range Rover Sports SVR and Mercedes Maybach S600.
