From the Associate Vice President for Alumni Relations Since its beginnings serving medical school graduates in 1875, the University at Buffalo Alumni Association has continuously reinvented itself with the times. One thing that has remained a constant, however, is service to alumni. Our work is singularly geared toward satisfying the needs of our graduates, providing them with a welcoming front door back into their alma mater no matter what they need.
points of pride (2010)
The UBAA has been gaining momentum over the past several years, and we believe our successes are worth sharing. The university and the alumni association are at a pivotal point in our history, and we are determined to continue the upward trajectory so that we can expand even further the myriad services, benefits and programs our alumni want. Please read on to learn more about the UB Alumni Association’s 2010 Points of Pride. On behalf of the UBAA leadership and board of directors, thank you for your support. Sincerely,
Jay R. Friedman, EdM ’00 & BA ’86 Associate Vice President for Alumni Relations

About the UB Alumni Association The UB Alumni Association provides support for and services to alumni. We create and promote lifelong bonds with our graduates, and work to inspire them to care about the past, present and future of the university. Together with our alumni, we will help UB take its place among America’s great public universities.
Douglas Levere, BA ’89
We are a dues-paying organization but our services are available to any graduate of UB; we have a robust chapter program in cities throughout the U.S. and abroad; we plan and execute an average of 100 events annually for alumni and friends; our student alumni association offers events, programs and leadership opportunities to current students; we bring alumni together in service with a variety of volunteer opportunities on-campus and off; and we keep alumni, friends and the university community apprised of vital information through a number of print and electronic communication methods.
