"Well, sir I may be calling you for further questioning. We have found Miss Withermore dead in her apartment and we are trying to get our hands on any information that we can. Imay be in touch. Good evening." Officer Stipe hung up the phone and turned to the neighbors. The woman was cry-

ing.

"Who is Trent?" Asked officer Stipe. The woman began to wail. "oh geeze.........he's her fiance,I mean, he was her fiance. He died about five months ago in a car wreck. Charity was in the car, they released her from the hospital with minor injuries. Honestly, we really didn't know her well at all. We tried to be nice to her, but she was always peculiar. We just assumed she was having trouble with his death. We had no idea it was this bad. Oh geeze...1 feel so responsible. If only I had know...." She began to wail again. "Look folks, why don't you go on home. We'll handle it from here. Go have yourselves a rest." He was speaking directly to the man, the stable of the two. The couple left immediately. The stench of death and failure was overpowering. Officer Blake, Stipe's co-worker, stepped from the bathroom to call an ambulance. She would need to be removed immediately. "Damn pills," said officer Stipe to the dead woman. "Why did you take so many of these damn pills?" He said as he shook the Valium bottle up and down. Then he sat on the edge of the tub and removed his wallet. He took out a picture of his wife and a tear slid from his eye. "It's a damn shame. Love can be a damn shame." Then he kissed his wife and placed her back into his wallet where she would be safe and dry.

she smiles does he take notice, she cooks the meals that gives him daily bread, she cleans the home and works two jobs then, makes her man believe he's strong! she gives the kids love and affection, cause each day there's something new. Although her time is never wasted, his beliefs just make her blue, he never comforts, just forsakes her, when she's the one that keeps the glue, the bond they share is so lop-sided, through the years, she's just love starved. She looks for new directions, but fears she's doing wrong. It's back to this ain't happening, is there another way. she prays from desperation, for God to pave her day. Without it it's impossible, the pain makes life so gray, she shares with other women, to change her point of view Someone says I've been through it all The choice is left to you!!
