Medical Assisting Services
Business Management Technology
Nursing, RN Technology
Dental Hygiene Technology
Radiologic Technology
Electronic Media Technology

Information Technology Career-oriented programs align with our Bachelor’s Degree in Technical and Applied Studies (BTAS), or, in the case of Radiologic Technology, with our Bachelor’s Degree in Radiation Science Technology (BRST), but don’t always align with bachelor’s programs at the UC Uptown campus. If you plan to eventually pursue a bachelor’s degree at UC Uptown or another university, all credits may not transfer and you may have to take additional coursework.
Transition-Oriented Associate Degree Programs
Transition-oriented programs provide students with the first two years of their education before transitioning into a baccalaureate program at our college, UC’s Uptown campus, or another university. Scholarships Academic Achievement Scholarship The Academic Achievement Scholarship is awarded automatically to incoming freshmen, who have not previously attended another college or university as a degree-seeking student, with a final 3.2 minimum (unweighted) high school GPA, who enroll as a full-time, degree-seeking student at our campus. To be considered for the scholarship, a completed admission application (to include transcript & application fee) must be received by December 1 of their senior year and a completed admission confirmation must be received on or before May 1. The University of Cincinnati must receive an official, final high school transcript showing date of graduation by July 1. The scholarship amount varies each academic year; please check with the Admissions Office for the specific amount. Provided that the student successfully completes** a minimum of 12 credit hours with at least a 3.0 semester GPA during their fall semester as a full-time, degreeseeking student at UCBA, the student would remain eligible for the scholarship during their spring semester as a full-time, degree-seeking student at UCBA. Additional requirements will be communicated via email. This scholarship is only valid during the first year (2 semesters) of attendance as a degree-seeking student. * Available to incoming freshmen who graduated from high school within the last calendar year. ** Grades of F, I, UW, W, X, NP, U, T, UP, and NG are not considered successful completion.
Other UCBA Scholarships Over $70,000 in scholarships are available to UCBA students each year! ucblueash.edu/scholarships

Also remember that applying for financial aid is an annual process.
cincinnatipride Graduates of Cincinnati Public Schools (CPS) who have not attended college can be considered for the Cincinnati Pride Grant (CPG). The Cincinnati Pride Grant recognizes UC’s long-standing partnership with the Cincinnati Public School System and reaffirms its commitment to CPS’s graduates. Eligibility & Application After applying for admission to UC, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). CPS students who have a high school GPA over 2.2 and are determined to be Federal Pell Grant-eligible will automatically be considered for CPG. Mackenzie Cornell (eMedia) starts her day at 2:30 a.m. as a video producer at WHIO in Dayton. She works in the newsroom until 7:30 a.m. – editing video segments for the morning news – before starting her day as a student.
“I love the flexibility of studying at UC Blue Ash.“ About 75 percent of our students work at least part-time while attending classes, so we strive to create flexible scheduling options that work for anyone. “The eMedia program focuses a lot on technique, which drives me to continue getting better,” notes Mackenzie. “I met some really talented friends through the program, and it’s awesome to implement things I learn in class into the work I do at the station.”

CONNECTIONS
Professor Wendy Calaway (right) and student Zachary Ziv discuss community activism and policing. Ziv’s passion to seek a career in police reform and local politics was fueled by Calaway’s example.
Like many UC Blue Ash professors, criminal justice professor Wendy Calaway practices what she preaches. Along with teaching criminal justice, criminology, and corrections courses, she uses her experience as a practicing attorney to provide real-life cases for her students and to bring judges, law enforcement officers, and federal agents to the classroom.
“Small class sizes allow students and professors to share different perspectives and build genuine relationships. In building these relationships, learning can become transformational.” Inside or outside of the classroom, UC Blue Ash professors routinely expand on these transformational relationships through mentoring, research opportunities, professional presentations and real-world collaboration.
“The people who work here are not only brilliant, creative and industrious, but they are incredibly generous with their time and talents.”
14
In 2015, Professor Calaway successfully argued an appeals case to the Ohio Supreme Court, setting a new precedent for criminal cases across the state. While Calaway was in the courtroom presenting her argument, her class was watching through closed circuit TV. “It was a great experience for me and a learning experience for them. We talked about the case and appeal process in class.”

“Our UCBA students are amazing people. They are unique, motivated, and resilient. I am constantly surprised and amazed by how much they can overcome and what they can do.” A UC Blue Ash Distinguished Staff award winner recognized for his service to students, Daniel Sansing is an academic tutor in the Writing & Study Skills Center and an adjunct English professor. He has a unique perspective to helping students succeed. “I have autism,” notes Daniel, “but it’s really not a big deal to me anymore. I try to consciously use it as an ability, and don’t view it as a disability.” Daniel’s example inspires students to believe that their dreams are possible, and overcoming challenges is part of his daily life. A lifelong learner, he plans to return to UC as a graduate student for a second master’s degree in the near future.
