Coursework Requirement
Minimum coursework to apply: The following courses must be completed or in progress at the time of application
submission:
• Financial Accounting
• Managerial Accounting
The remainder of the accounting coursework prerequisite requirement must be completed at a U.S. accredited institution such as a community college, university or university extension program. Admitted students are also eligible to enroll in our MPAc Summer Pre-session to meet the coursework requirement. Applicants are responsible for demonstrating how they will meet the coursework requirement as part of the application process. All prerequisite coursework must be completed with a C or better.
Fall Applicants: The following courses will need to be completed before the program begins in fall:
• Intermediate Accounting I
• Intermediate Accounting II
• U.S. Individual Taxation or U.S. Federal Taxation

Specialized Tracks
Data Analytics Track: Students will develop skills to leverage new widespread technologies that enhance the preparation, management, and control of financial data to improve the overall effectiveness of the accounting process.
Tax Track: Students will gain a deeper understanding of how taxes influence business decisions, learn to evaluate widely used tax planning strategies, and develop the skills to apply the appropriate provisions for financial reporting for international and domestic businesses alike.
