Welcome... Milwaukee is referred to often as “America’s best-kept secret.” With its outgoing residents and great events, the city enjoys a growing reputation as a destination. Milwaukee is making investments that change this city in positive ways. Businesses and government are putting hundreds of millions of dollars into some noteworthy projects. Milwaukee’s lakefront near downtown is benefitting from local and state investments that improve access and add amenities. The area has long been the home of cultural institutions and natural beauty. Improvements which are underway will add pedestrian connections and open additional space for public recreation and private development. Milwaukee’s skyline is changing, too. Northwestern Mutual is constructing a prominent office tower. And a new office building on East Michigan Street and proposed residential construction add even more life to our downtown. Local government is investing in improved transportation and infrastructure projects to support existing businesses and promote new development. Milwaukee is enjoying positive momentum, and I’m very optimistic about our city’s future.
It’s finally that time of year again, summertime! it’s time to get outdoors and experience everything Milwaukee County has to offer! Milwaukee hosts many festivals each month, starting in June with Polish Fest, Pride Fest and the Big Gig, Summerfest. The Lakefront Festival of Art, one of the top 20 art festivals in the country, also provides a great opportunity to enjoy the lakefront and the Milwaukee Art Museum. Milwaukee County Parks have much to offer. Our new Traveling Beer Gardens, featuring locally made Sprecher beer and soda, will visit 15 different parks or parkways throughout the summer. Wherever your summer may take you, remember KEY Milwaukee is a great resource for helping you plan your adventures.

Sail into Port Washington’s history at the Exploreum Just opened, the Port Exploreum is a gem of a museum that tells the story of Port Washington through interactive displays, dramatic graphic presentations, a family nautical museum and featured exhibitions. The Exploreum’s historic three-story building was renovated to create a spacious-feeling, open environment. The
original brick walls and wood floors create an intriguing interior, while sweeping views of Lake Michigan from large windows and an outdoor deck help tell the museum’s stories. The Port Washington Historical Society spearheaded the project and operates the Exploreum, located at 118 N. Franklin St., Port Washington. Hours are 10am-5pm, closed Tuesdays and holidays. For more information, visit portexploreum.com or phone (262) 284-2406.
