55th Annual Greek Food Festival

Who would believe a Greek island would leave the Mediterranean and come to Memphis? Anyone who's ever been to the annual Greek Food Festival at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church! This year's dates are May 10-11 – Mother's Day Weekend, so bring Mom out for some some good Greek home-cookin', and maybe a little shopping in the Marketplace, filled with wonderful gifts and fabulous jewelry. This is the 55th edition of the annual festival – for 55 years the Annunciation congregation has been sharing their love for their Greek heritage, food, music and culture with the Mid-South. “This is a lot of hard, but loving work for our church community”, says Todd Bagatelas, Chairmen of this year’s festival, “but the excitement we see from the public makes it well worth-while. What a great way to spend time with family and friends." The festival goes on rain or shine! Besides food and marketplace items, festival goers will

There is no better vehicle for downtown sightseeing. The trolley runs from the Pinch District and the Memphis Cook Convention Center, past Civic Center Plaza and Court Square, all the way to Peabody Place and Beale Street, the FedEx Forum, Nationals Civil Rights Museum and the South Main Historic Arts District.
