Blues Hall Of Fame Opens May 8 Downtown On the other end of downtown Memphis from The Pyramid, the Blues Hall of Fame is opening Fri., May 8, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., at 421 Main St., right across from the Naitonal Civil Rights Museum. Occupying a 12,000 square foot site, the Blues Hall of Fame, through artifacts, instruments, music & more will present the story of the blues & Memphis's deep connections with both the music & musicians of that

genre, from before W.C. Handy right up to today. The May 8 date puts the Blues Hall of Fame opening at the climax of this year's Blues Music Awards, with events happening May 6-9 at the Sheraton Memphis Downtown, the Cook Convention Center, various Beale St. clubs & at the Blues Hall of Fame.
