It is first taught to children in Sunday school as a tale highlighting the importance of obedience to God and of His promise to provide a means to wash away sin without washing away the sinner. In an attempt to capture that narrative as an artist, I wanted to give prominence to the rainbow of God as an act of the Divine as opposed to a by-product of rain and light. To that God's promise. purpose, I painted the rainbow extending beyond what is possible and into what can be done by the hand of the Creator. I enjoyed selecting the animals and wanted to represent the flood as a world event so I tried to find some balance between the animals of each continent, from the African lion to the North American elk. A versatile man on the gridiron, Sam is 2nd in active rushing yards: 433, with 8 touchdowns on the ground. He's caught 46 passes for 420 yards & a score in 20 career games played – starting in 16 of them. With 4 returns for 96 yards, he carries a 24.0 yards per kickoff return into this, his junior year. Good in the classroom as well as on the field, Sam was recognized on the Tiger 3.0 list for the Fall of 2013 and Spring 2014.

Debuted as a redshirt freshman in the starting lineup against Duke in the 2014 season opener & has since started & played in 25 straight games. A junior, he's in the top 10 on the NCAA Statistics Active Career Leaders in a slew of categories, & ranked 11th in passing yards & 12th in total touchdowns as well.
