We have a phrase we like to use at the University of Central Oklahoma: Live Central. It’s how we define the Central experience – an experience distinct to each of the diverse faces in our community. It starts with the personal relationships our students build with faculty and staff who commit each day to transforming lives. They do this by putting teaching first and creating an innovative learning community that prepares future leaders for success. Our students learn what it means to be an engaged citizen through learning opportunities that respond to the needs of our metropolitan community, an experience unique to students at Oklahoma’s largest metropolitan university. We open the doors; you choose which ones to walk through – that’s what it means to Live Central.
