DINING ON CAMPUS
DINING OPTIONS
Your housing contract includes a flexible dining plan! Satisfy culinary cravings at multiple eateries across campus – casual dining facilities, specialty restaurants and grocery shopping at retail markets. With vegan, halal, certified kosher and culturally diverse items offered daily, there is truly something for every appetite!
SPECIALTY/MEDICALLY NECESSITATED DIETS
Whether your specialty diet is medically necessitated or a cultural/ lifestyle choice, you have access to an on-site registered dietitian who will assist you in your daily menu planning needs.
Individuals with medical conditions who require specific dietary accommodations should first contact the Office for Students with Disabilities (OSD) as early as possible at osd.ucsd.edu. Once registered with OSD, our registered dietitian will meet with you to set up an individualized plan, ensuring your nutritional needs are supported.
HOW DINING DOLLARS WORK
At UC San Diego, we believe in empowering students to choose a dining plan that best suits their needs and lifestyle while living on campus. Dining plans are designed as an a la carte system compared to an all-you-care-to-eat program, so students have control of exactly how to spend their funds. The various dining plans are designed to be flexible and low cost.
All dining plans are linked to your campus ID card. Dining dollars can be used in all HDH dining locations (restaurants and markets). Each purchase is automatically deducted from your account balance, like a debit card. Dining plans also come with a minimum of $500 in Triton Cash, accepted at 60+ locations on and off campus.
