Workshop Pop Up architectures that appear and disappear

11 9:30 Apresentação do Workshop: o que é Pop Up? O que foi feiro pelos estudantes de Madri e Xanthi? Apresentam-se os conceitos do seminário: Diagramas, Protodocumentos e Maquetes. Faz-se a entrega dos documentos com que se irão trabalhar. 11:00-12:00 Escolhem-se os vídeos e as ilhas de trabalho. Preparam-se as plantas com as quais se irá trabalhar. 12:00-13:00 Realiza-se um diagrama com o prgrama das ilhas e os dados recebidos de Madrid e Xanthi. Inicio do desenvolvimento da protoplanta. 15:00-18:00 Mesa redonda “Pedagogía e Arquitetura”. “Sobre o diagrama como ferramenta projetual propositiva e o código aberto na pedagogia arquitetônica.”
12 14:00-15:00 Completa-se o trabalho das protoplantas. 15:00-17:00 Corrigese e se faz uma mesa redonda sobre os trabalhos realizados. 17:00-18:00 Acrescenta-se às protoplantas a camada mobiliário.

Protoplant and Protosection Information builds the project. It can all be data or be treated as data; documents, numbers interviews, images, press articles, recent or past history, photographs, language,... The information which will conform or surrounnd the architectural matter must be mastered. In pinciple we do not know which ones will be important. Like real detectives we can trust neither appearances nor the order or the current state of the objects. Let us observe everythin with the same intensity, unravelling what is underneath. Then let us choose. We must finetune this choice. Which element, part of the whole, will be the programme, which as a system, will structure all the subsequent data, parameters and architectural material. This is why it is important to have been thorough and precise. But all this information is anectotal if we are not able to abstract it from the contigent conditionings and transform it into parameters of our architecture, we must be able to transfer it to same system, make it all compatible with it self. In our case, to transfer it all to the same graphic medium. We must be able to take it to the realm of the abstract and once there, represent it all. In this realm all types of information can dialogue. We must not lose data in this procedure. We must be able to eliminate while at the same time not erase the circmstances. To abstract means to isolate, separate the attributes of the object, acquire a concept through consideration of common characteristics, eliminating the spatiotemporal locations. It is to elminate contingencies to alow reinjection once it has been manipulated, completed or transformed. We will work with all the information detected and taking it into consideration, arranging those which intuitively will be able to build the object today, we will have to produce an abstract documents with this drawing. We will call these abstract documents Protoplans and Protosections.
