UH Board & District 2 Board
Pledge & Officer Messages I pledge to uphold the Objects of Circle K International, to foster compassion and goodwill toward others through service and leadership, to develop my abilities and the abilities of all people, and to dedicate myself to the realization of mankind's potential.”
Howdy! My name is Kristen Iannello and I am your 2018-19 Southeast TX Lieutenant Governor. I just graduated with my Bachelors of Science from Texas A&M University at Galveston and moved to the Houston area where I will be finishing my term. Being lt. governor has really changed my perspective of CKI and how big of an impact we can make just by working together. I’ve enjoyed serving our division and channeling your chapters strengths so that each school has an opportunity for success. I have loved getting the chance to help each of y’all excel, and look forward to seeing all of you at DCON and our Spring Rally for Elections of District Board Candidates! If you have any question about serving on board, or about DCON just let me know! Yours in Service,
Kristen Iannello I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday! The Spring semester is almost here and whether or not you were active last semester, we have plenty of events and projects planned for this semester so don’t miss out! In this issue for The Paw Print, I have some recaps on this past month and semester as well as some updates for January and this Spring. I also have some fun pages near the end! I look forward to seeing everyone again in a couple weeks!

DECEMBER RECAP WHITE COUGAR SOCIAL At the beginning of December, we had a couple of Kiwanis events that we attended. (page 6) Our officers, Alex and Jose, also delivered all the food donations collected through our #FeedingHouston food drive from September’s STUFH project. (page 8) Our last event ended our Fall semester with the White Cougar social where members participated in a white elephant gift exchange and a very filling potluck. Thank you to all the members who brought food to share. Everything was warm and delicious! We hope everyone who came had an enjoyable time from the food, gifts, and games with the CKI family. Keep on reading to see a recap on Fall 2018 and see you guys in 2019! For the holidays, our CKI hosted a winter social called, White Cougar, to celebrate the end of our college semester for the year. At the social, we were able to enjoy fun holiday music and bond with the friends we made in these past few months as we ate delicious home cooked meals brought by the members and played exciting icebreakers such as train wreck. Afterwards, we took part in a white elephant gift exchange and surprised one another with gifts varying from practical to extremely hilarious. Everyone was on the edge of their seats hoping that no one would steal their gift from them. In the end, the members gathered together to take silly group photos. Memorable events like these allow me to cherish the fun times with my loving CKI family, and I'm glad to have spent time with them before the end of 2018.

K-FAMILY news & events Back in October, Harmony School of Innovation— Sugar Land high school featured their Key Club in their weekly mail after winning our #FeedingHouston food drive competition with 727 cans! Their contribution was part of the total 1300+ food cans collected and donated at the Houston Food Bank.
At the beginning of December, two of our officers, Alex and Cecilia, attended a Kiwanis Club of Houston Luncheon with speaker, Brian Sekula. Not too long after the luncheon, Kiwanis held their 2018 Holiday Party. Three of our officers, Alex, Danielle, and Sammie, volunteered to serve food. Thank you to Dr. Carrie Altman and Mr. Keith Solomon for hosting the party! These two events were great opportunities to network with members of our K-Family and we hope to see more interactions in the future!

To our CKI family, On behalf of the officers here at Circle K International at UH, we'd like to extend a thanks of appreciation to our members for supporting our chapter throughout the past year. Our projects and events wouldn’t have been possible without all the time and dedication y'all put in! :) All of this would not have been possible without the members and officers' hard work! We look forward to another wonderful year of service. If there are any events or any ways we can help out this upcoming semester that you’d like to suggest, please let us know! And if you have any questions, feel free to ask.
Otherwise, we wish everyone a happy 2019! We have a lot planned this spring, so here's to another semester of service! :)
