OBJECTIVE
Todevelopandbuildatestbedtotest analgorithmthatcandetectsymmetric &asymmetriccancelingfaultsinshunt capacitorbanks(SCB)Thetestbed canalsobeusedinprotectionclasses.
VALUEPROPOSITION
1.ShuntCapacitorBankshortcircuits:
-Capacitorsfailshorted,shortsparallel capacitors;
-Overvoltagedevelopsovertheother un-faultedserieselements,possiblyfail;
-CurrentflowsincenterbranchofH bridge,protectiverelayscandetect faultsbasedonthatcurrent.

-Failureofcapacitorsindifferentlegsof Hbridgeremovesvoltageandcurrent imbalance.Difficulttodetect;
-Ourgoalistobuildatestsystemto createsymmetricandasymmetric cancelingfailuresandprovide measurementdatatoarelay.
