It is with honor and enthusiasm that I write this message, my first formal communication as ECHO Idaho’s director and newest staff member. I first learned about ECHO Idaho while serving as the State Director of Student Engagement and Safety Coordination with Idaho State Department of Education. I was impressed with ECHO Idaho’s approach to supporting continuing education then and my vision for a broader application of the ECHO model continues as I take on this new role. My bio is up on the staff webpage, but a few things that don’t show up there: I’m approachable, interested in getting to know you and looking forward to supporting ECHO Idaho’s expansion. In 2023, we’re aiming to launch several new series: Adolescent Substance Use Disorder, Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias, and Geriatric Care. If you’d like to know more, please reach out to us at echoidaho@uidaho. edu or call 208-364-4072.

Congratulations to panelist Julie Wittman of Lewiston and participant Dr. Neil Ragan of Pocatello for being selected by the Idaho Rural Health Care Association as Idaho Rural Health Heroes. ECHO Idaho is proud to have nominated you both for this welldeserved award. Thank you for improving patient lives in your community.
From all of us at ECHO Idaho, we wish you a restful Thanksgiving holiday.
