Friday - Meet and greet Meet at the hotel for a welcome reception and three course meal, followed by an entertaining talk by Adam Partridge.
Saturday - Mona Showground Antiques and Collectors Fair Visit the famous Anglesey Antiques Fair held at the Mona Showground. With up to 300 stands, set in impressive exhibition halls and externally on the grounds, the show will have items of interest for all, from the new collector to the seasoned expert. An opportunity for a photo stop will be available at the beautiful and scenic Menai Bridge.
Sunday - Beaumaris Castle The Island of Anglesey is the home of Beaumaris Castle, which was built by King Edward I as one of the North Wales “Iron Ring” castles. King Edward I built the castle to mark his authority on the people of Wales but due to financial problems and supplies running short, the castle was never completed. Even though the castle is unfinished, you will agree that it is still an impressive sight. Started in 1295, the castle is known to be one of the finest Edwardian castles in the whole of Wales. James of St George, the king’s very own military architect, designed and built this castle, which is the largest and the most ambitious project he was ever involved with. Your visit to the castle will include a private tour guide who will be providing information during your visit and will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Beaumaris began life as a Viking settlement as was originally known as Porth y Wygyr which means Port of the Vikings. In 1295, when King Edward I conquered Wales, the town started its development and the castle was commissioned. The name Beaumaris comes from the French builders at the time who were calling the area “Beaux Marais”, which translates as “beautiful marsh”. Beaumaris was one of the most important Saxon ports in the United Kingdom. The port was centred on Gallows Point, a public execution area for the criminals held in the local gaol. It is said that the last prisoner to hang there, screamed a curse on the area letting all the people know that if he was innocent, the four faces of the church clock would never be able to display the same time and to this day, they never have.
This beautiful hotel, located in Caernarfon, has 110 en-suite bedrooms, a chic and contemporary restaurant, a friendly and beautifully designed bar, a leisure suite and excellent customer service. The “Brasserie Draco” restaurant uses local produce to provide guests with a chic Mediterranean inspired menu. Restored with its original interior and characteristics, this coach is the perfect transportation for your antiques weekend break. Travel on Sunday to and from Beaumaris Castle will also be provided by Silver Star and will be a modern coach with all the comforts of air conditioning, toilets and tea and coffee making facilities.

Saturday - Hungerford Town Visit Hungerford, a small yet historic town, which boasts a wide array of antique shops including the Hungerford Arcade with over 100 antiques dealers.
Sunday - Basildon Park Basildon Park is Georgian mansion, brought back to life from a tattered ruin to the beautiful building you can see today by Lord and Lady Iliffe during the 1950’s. They roamed the country searching for architectural fixtures and fittings from the 18th century, restoring their new home back to its former glory, furnishing it with fine art, beautiful fabrics and luxurious furniture. You can also view the newly opened 1950’s kitchen and the beautiful shell room, decorated with land and sea shells.
Note: main show rooms are on the first floor – 21 steps up from ground level.
Hungerford Town The name Hungerford derives from a Saxon name meaning 'Hanging Wood Ford'. Hungerford is a beautiful and picturesque country town, nestling in the Kennet Valley, between Marlborough.

There are many historical and original buildings with beautiful and ornate architecture. Hungerford is now the only town in England to continuously celebrate “Hocktide” or “Tutti Day” (the second Tuesday after Easter), although today, it also marks the less historical event of the end of the town council's financial and administrative year.
Staying at - Ramada Newbury Elcot Park The Ramada Newbury Elcot Park is a stunning Georgian manor house set in sixteen acres of beautifully landscaped gardens and parkland estate. This 19th century hotel is the former family home of the great English poet, Percy Shelley, famous for his literary associations with Keats and Byron and also his second wife, Mary Shelley, author of the famous gothic novel, Frankenstein. Buxton Town

The highest market town in Britain, Buxton enjoys a wonderful location on the edge of the Peak District, right on the banks of the River Wye. The town was developed by the Romans, who named it for the goddess believed to inhabit the spring which has made the town famous. Since then, the Dukes of Devonshire in the eighteenth century and the Victorians in the nineteenth ensured that Buxton remained a centre for relaxation and entertainmentas well as introducing beautiful architecture to the town’s Roman layout.
Saturday - Buxton Antiques Fair No trip to Buxton is complete without visiting the historic Pavilion Gardens, founded in 1871 and since beautifully restored. The Buxton Antiques Fair will contain pieces of interest to everyone, from the new collector to the seasoned expert. 23 acres of pleasure gardens surrounding the building will provide visitors with a lovely stroll to compare new treasures.
Sunday - Chatsworth House The famous Chatsworth House is an enchanting place to visit at any time of year. In October, the spectacular views from the windows will show the extensive gardens, described by Alan Titchmarsh as “one of the best and most vibrant gardens in Great Britain”, awash with autumnal colour. Bess of Hardwick began building her Tudor mansion here in 1553, but the house we see now was extensively rebuilt in the late seventeenth century by the 6th Duke of Devonshire. Several more Regency bedrooms were recently restored and reopened (in March 2011), giving visitors a new perspective on the history of the house. The house also contains a unique collection of paintings, sculpture, books and artefacts, priceless in value. Keep an eye out for Jan van de Vaardt’s convincing trompe l’oeil painting of a violin and bow “hanging” from the door of the State Music Room. The group will have a private guided tour through the house, explaining the art, architecture and history of the building.
Staying at - The Palace Hotel, Buxton The Palace Hotel was designed by the Duke of Devonshire’s architect, Henry Currey, and has remained one of the most lovely buildings in central Buxton since it was built in 1868. There are 122 light and airy bedrooms, which retain the charm of the old building, yet with comfortable modern fittings. As befits a spa town, The Palace also houses the Beauty Rooms, where spa treatments are available, specialising in therapeutic skin care. There is also a health club available for visitors, including a 14 metre swimming pool as well as a fitness suite, sauna, steam room and sunbed. Dinner and breakfast will be served in the Dovedale Restaurant within the hotel building, an elegant space in keeping with the Victorian setting of the town and the hotel. The Lounge Bar, a circular bar at the centre of the hotel, will be available until visitors wish to retire.

The Three Ways House Hotel is perhaps best known as the home of the Pudding Club- see below! A beautiful building in Cotswold stone, the Three Ways House has been tastefully converted to a hotel without losing any of the charm of the original building, and situated right on the edge of an area of outstanding natural beauty. The hotel has 48 bedrooms, each individually designed and fitted with bath/shower, TV, free wifi, tea and coffee making facilities and everything else necessary for a comfortable and pleasant stay. The Pudding Club rooms are specially themed, including the Sticky Toffee and Date Room, the Oriental Ginger Room and the Spotted Dick and Custard Room! The restaurant, where dinner and breakfast will be served, provides a weekly changing menu based around seasonal produce from the Chipping Camden and Gloucestershire area where possible.
Saturday - Moreton-in-Marsh Moreton-in-Marsh is a charming Cotswold village, at the junction of the Fosse Way Roman Road, where most of the buildings are of local stone. The village has an unusually high number of independent antiques shops and galleries, set out around the wide high street. While the town itself is pleasantly flat, the journey to the village from the hotel will provide views of the rolling Cotswold hills.
Sunday - Snowshill Manor Now owned by the National Trust, Snowshill Manor was once the home of Charles Wade, a man who took seriously his family motto: “Let nothing perish”. Wade, a trained architect associated with the Arts and Crafts movement, spent his wealth restoring the semi-derelict house of Snowshill Manor, which dated back to the 1500s. Preferring to divide his time between a small cottage in the garden of the property and his house in the West Indies, he used the property to showcase his vast collection of objects, reflecting his interest in craftsmanship.The collection, which was left to the National Trust along with the house, encompasses a great range of objects including several suits of Samurai armour, mechanical oddities, children’s toys and a great deal more.
The group will have a private tour guide to explain some of Wade’s incredible collection.
The Pudding Club The Pudding Club was established in1985 to try to preserve the traditional British pudding when it seemed under threat from modern desserts. Since then it has become an institution, with Pudding Club meetings attracting large numbers of members and guests to sample less well-known puddings such as the Lord Randall along with the more commonly known recipes, including Spotted Dick and Treacle Sponge. Featured on television, radio and in the press, the Pudding Club has developed into an internationally loved phenomenon, sometimes referred to as the 8th Wonder of the World!
