UKEN is western Norway’s second largest culture festival and is held every other year. Over 1000 volunteer as fUKENtionaries to create 17 days of parties and fun! The UKEline-up will be packed with everything from wild concerts and shows, to world record attempts, the kid’s day, elderly’s day and much more. Central to UKEN is the UKErevue. Every UKEN we set the stage for our own show, which has won the national prize several times over the years. UKEN has a tradition for revues that has roots stretching back to 1947, with many famous artists starting their career here, such as Jo Nesbø and Raske Menn. In addition to the revue there are many unforgettable memories created here, with concerts in the UKEtent

and in the Aula. Great artists have visited UKEN over the years, such as Backstreet Boys, Kygo, Veronica Maggio, 50 Cent, The White Stripes, Klovner i Kamp and DJ Tiesto. The magical atmosphere created in the UKEtent and the Aula when some of the world’s biggest artists enter the stage is absolutely priceless for both the guests and the fUKENtionaries. The revue and the concerts are massive experiences, but the best thing about UKEN is the broad specter of the programme and the tasks of the fUKENtinaries. We have something to everyone’s liking and three weeks of fantastic experiences makes UKEN a cultural experience you don’t want to miss!

DEAR FELLOW STUDENT! The UKEfamily is about to grow again and you can’t miss the opportunity to join this amazing adventure – UKEN 16! I can give you few spoilers: fun experiences, exciting challenges, unforgettable moments and friends for life. The best thing about UKEN actually isn’t the festival itself, but the road leading up to it. You will become a part of an amazing fellowship. (1 Middle manager, 23 fUKENtionaires) UKEN is the place to try new things and explore avenues you never would have dreamt of taking. In UKEN video you get the opportunity to create some of the truly unique aspects of UKEN. This year we are revolutionizing the way UKEN is documented by producing a documentary of how UKEN is created and carried out. UKEN Video will also produce promo films for artists and other productions to be used on different events. Absolutely no prerequisites are needed to join the production team, only eagerness to produce and a creative zest. All fUKENtionaries in the video team will be thoroughly trained and well integrated into the group. UKEN Video has its own office and equipment borrowed from K7 Minutter, which makes for a fantastic group environment and freedom to unfold. Give yourself a challenge and apply UKEN Video!

At Pers.sos, the personnel socializing group, we are now just two people, but we’re expanding with another 18 party starters. Together we will make sure that all the fUKENtionaries are buzzing with UKEjoy. We will do this by hosting internal parties, doing cake visits, running the Pers.sos Café during the preparations of UKEN and making sure the UKEoffice always has a great atmosphere. Only the imagination limits what we can achieve. Most of our work will be done before UKEN starts, so when it kicks off you can join all the parties with clear conscience. Are you practically inclined? Do you like tackling problems, finding solutions and to feel pride in your work? Then there’s no doubt that UKEntrepreneur is for you! We are UKEN’s private construction company, building anything necessary to make UKEN 16 a reality! To make this happen I need help from 10 amazing fUKENtionaries and a merry and helpful middle manager. As middle manager I want someone who can deal with responsibility and can take challenges head on. The middle manager will assist in the planning phase and have leadership responsibilities during the construction. Do not fret if you don’t have a history of carpentry, all that is needed is a positive cando attitude! Do you want to put your mark on UKEN 16 from the get-go? 6 DESIGN

(4 fUKENtionaires) Do you want to make sure UKEN 16 is the prettiest UKEN ever? Are you creative and colourful? Then this is the position for you! As a member of design you will take part in putting the creative touch on UKEN 16. The school is your canvas during UKEN; walls will be painted and ideas will be formed. UKEN will be noticed and UKEN will be great! In cooperation with Graphic we will transform NHH to an UKEgreen dream. Here, the design profile of UKEN 16 and Orvil will be both seen and felt, so that the crowd experience the UKEparty at all times. The best of all? We decide both construction and design. If you have good ideas, an eye for detail and creative abilities – apply for Design!

GROUP LEADER PHOTO To make UKEN last forever, we need someone to take care of the memories in the time leading up to, and especially during UKEN 16. Group leader Photo will work with just this, and is responsible for leading and coordinating all of UKEN’s photo work. This includes mainly planning photo sessions, photographing and image processing as well as displaying and publishing the photos. As group leader you are responsible for training and motivating your team of photographers, so that the job of eternalizing UKEN runs smoothly. Do you want to contribute to making the UKEN machinery run smoothly? There’s nothing quite like delivering a precise and seamless transport to anyone from happy fUKENtionaries to world renowned artists. Transport is the group where you can contribute to success on all arenas of UKEN 16! For this job I need you who are service minded, sociable and comfortable behind the wheel. You will become part of a big and strongly united team, who will deliver a high quality product while spreading UKEjoy wherever they go. Why is this fun? The work day in transport is dynamic, where you meet new people throughout your shift. When we succeed everyone we meet on our way is happy to cooperate with us.

Are you a motivated soul who loves to experiment with colours, fonts, figures and graphic expressions? Graphics is the group for you who wants to let the creativity flow, and create something to be proud of. As a graphic artist you will be a part of a team whose responsibility is all of the informative material before and during UKEN. That will include everything from posters, banners and graphic elements to creating sweatshirt prints. You will also be a key player in creating the graphic profile of UKEN 16. This is in other words an exciting and creative position. As a graphic artist it is preferred that you are familiar with graphic software. As a member of UKEbus you will help take care of the most pleasant promoter we have during UKEN 16; Torvall Menningen, UKEN’s own double decker bus! With his green personality and powerful body, he will show all the city’s inhabitants just what UKEN is all about! Torvall used to roam around the streets of London, but as a pensioner he’s more comfortable entertaining festive and battle-ready fUKENtionaries. Together we make one of UKEN’s biggest and probably most social families and Torvall will in the time up to and during UKEN be like your second home. We will therefore party, build and play with the bus until it beams of our personal touch. To accomplish this I need 25 jolly fUKENtionaries on my team, (one of which will serve as my right hand and middle manager of the group). We have two specific goals for our two storey home: to sell more tickets than ever before, and to let everyone know what happens when the UKEwave finally washes over Bergen!

We are giving a memorable gift back to the city of Bergen and last but not least, we are making our very own “Project X” You can take part in deciding what these events will be like. (20 fUKENtionaries) Hurramegrundt! Are you proper hedonist? Would you categorize yourself as overly social? Are you perhaps a bit nuts? In that case you are a perfect match for UKEN’s by far craziest gang, Rabalder! Rabalder is UKEN’s incomparable get-psyched crew, where fun and shenanigans are the top priorities. Our main task is to spread the happy gospel of UKEN to all. Together we will dress up in green, stroll around town and do hysterical PR-stunts. We will make sure that all of Bergen know exactly how awesome UKEN really is!. In Rabalder we are looking for a super dedicated and charismatic person with a burning wish to have fun in complete public. Do you love attention? Do you have a gag that just NEEDS to be carried out? Financial section

The financial section is managing UKEN’s big bag of money, making sure we get the most fun out of every krone! In the financial section you will get great insight into the economy of UKEN, and most importantly, get academic, relevant experience. Are you worried you don’t have enough experience? Don’t worry about it! Prior economic experience isn’t what’s important, but a burning dedication and a will to learn. All in all the financial section will consist of about 30 people, which means great opportunities to get to know everyone. It also means we get to have a Christmas party for the entire section. UKEbank will also merrily aid UKEN’s customers in using UKEN’s payment system; Cashless. You better be prepared for a lot of social activities as well! Together we’ll plan and execute everything in the UKEline-up, apart for the revue – and we will of course have incredibly much fun along the way. As responsible for the catering you will be a part of the Booking group with all the social events that entails. As an artist host you will be the contact for one or more of the artists on our line-up. The job entails that you will be a part f the Booking group with all the social events that brings with it. Sales section

As a part of logistics you will be in one of the most important groups making sure that the guests always get the ultimate festival experience. As a middle manager you will be my right hand and we will be cooperating closely in the time leading up to UKEN. Along with two procurers we will achieve the best deals with our suppliers. As a fUKENtionarie you will mainly work during UKEN itself making sure that all the sales points are well supplied and have everything they need to operate. Deep down in the basement you find the legendary fUKEN, a mythical place spoken of throughout the city of Bergen. Here, all the fUKENtionaries come together to top the evening, and quench their thirst after everything else has closed. Together with you we will create a phenomenal new concept, dust off the old hammers and paint brushes and turn fUKEN upside down. I will need people with all sorts of personalities and skills for this to happen, so if you want to make the wildest after party in the history of man, YOU need to apply for fUKEN!
