DEAR FELLOW STUDENT! Congratulations! Now you`re on the right track! The paper you`re holding can be the first step towards the funniest and most challenging event you can be a part of in NHHS. UKEN is the largest sub-committee at NHH and consists of more than 1000 members. This makes UKEN one of the largest student festivals in Norway. During 17 days 20 000 visitors swing by NHH to experience what UKEN has to offer. The program consists of everything from world record attempts to cabaret and concerts. Artists who have played during our festival includes 50 Cent, Travis, The White Stripes, Jason Mraz and DJ Tiesto. If you join the UKEN family I can promise you many new friends and memories for life. A living proof of this is all the previous members of UKEN who returns every year to have fun with old friends and experience the unique feeling UKEN has given, and still gives them . I was a member of UKEN two years ago and it gave me some of the best experiences I've had at NHH. One of the finest things about UKEN is the breadth of the organization. Whether you are an artist or an economist, carpenter or a bartender, you'll find something for you in UKEN. The question is therefore not whether UKEN is something for you, but what you want to do in UKEN! I would especially encourage young students to throw in an application. Experience from NHHS or elsewhere is in fact not necessary to join UKEN. What you may need to learn, you learn along the way! I look forward to seeing you at our stand!

Do you want to give our guests a flavorful experience that will never be forgotten? If you are responsible, social and service-minded you belong in the Restaurant-group! As one of the largest subgroups you will be guaranteed a lot of fun, and it is a perfect environment for making new friends. Any restaurant’s most important resource is the waiters, that’s why I need you! Previous experience is not necessary; the essential is that you are motivated and determined. As long as you enjoy a fast paced environment and are comfortable with stressful situations you are well suited for the position. As there is a lot of interaction with guests,
there is also an advantage to be outgoing. For the waiters, the party continues in the basement after work! During UKEN you will only have to work 3-4 times, so don’t be afraid, you’ll still get the opportunity to participate in many of the events during UKEN!

The UKEN cabaret is the very soul of the UKEN festival, and one of the most important part of any show is the scenography! Our adventure starts in February, and our work will become the foundation for all the sensational moments in the Aula during UKEN. PHOTO Do you know how to handle a camera? Would you like to experience as much of UKEN 14 as absolutely possible, behind and in front of the stages, the big artists and all the events that are happening? UKENVIDEO Do you have an interest in movie making? In UKENvideo it doesn’t matter if you want to interview, film or edit. We need people who are interested in film making, and there is no previous experience required. We will teach you everything you need to know. In UKENvideo there are three You will have the possibility to do whatever you want to. Redaksjon is the editorial group. In this group you will make you want to interview or film shows, artists and other events, this is the group for you. If you rather would work on editing promotion movies, Promo is perfect for you. We are now 19 members of the Pers.sos group, and now we want to expand with five new members. Together we´ll make the whole UKEorganization explode of UKEexcitement! We will organize parties, run UKEN´s own café as we approach UKEN 14, have waffle visits, and create a great atmosphere at the UKEoffice. We can do whatever we want to satisfy the UKEN employees, only limited by our imagination. Most
of our work will take place before the start of UKEN, so in March, you are free to attend as many parties, concerts and events as you wish. Are you a fan of waffles? Software Developer
As a member of our software developer team you will gain experience in developing applications using VB.NET and PHP. These are skills that may become useful in your later studies or career. At this point in time we need people with a fair amount of programming experience.
System / Cash register
We need a few extra members that can oversee our IT systems during the festival. You do not need specific background qualifications as we give you on the job training. You will hopefully be able to solve (almost) all problems that may arise.

In March we will facilitate the highlights of UKEN 14! We are increasing the capacity, and will gather 4,500 people in what will become UKEN’s all-time concert venue UKEteltet at Koengen! A tent aimed to house the biggest artists and the best events of UKEN 14 will not lift itself. For this I need your help! We will take over Koengen for a week and make the space our own. You will primarily contribute to the set-up and
dismantling of the tent, and you will therefore also have the time to enjoy the rest of UKEN and the benefits of being a volunteer! Together we will create unforgettable memories in a tent that will exceed all expectations! Do not miss this opportunity - I’m looking forward to working with you!
