UKEN 20 UKEN is Western Norway’s second largest culture festival, and is held every other year. Over a thousand students volunteer as fUKENtionaries to create a fantastic festival in March 2020 with lots of fun. The line up for UKEN is filled with a lot of events, including revues and spectacular concerts, shows, world record attempts, dance classes and much more. In 2020, UKEN marks its 40 year anniversary, and we want to celebrate with a huge birthday party! A large part of UKEN is the UKE revue. Every UKEN we set the stage for our own show, which has won the Norwegian championship several times, including last year. The revue has roots right back to 1946, and many well-known Norwegian names started their stage career here. Concerts are also

a big part of UKEN, with everything from small intimate concerts to massive arena concerts. Artists like Karpe Diem, 50 Cent, The White Stripes, Kygo, Backstreet Boys, Axwell Λ Ingrosso, MØ and Tiesto all have in common that they have played at UKEN. The magical atmosphere created when some of the world’s largest stars enter the stage is absolutely invaluable for both guests and fUKENtionaries. Even though it is a lot of focus on the revue and the big conerts, what makes UKEN truly great is the broad spectre of the program and the different tasks you can have as a volunteer. We have something for everone’s liking and three weeks of fantastic experiences makes UKEN a cultural experience you do not want to miss!
DEAR FELLOW STUDENTS! We are finally expanding UKEN! By now we are 30 wonderful fUKENtionaries, but in just a few days we will expand the group that is going to create the largest student festival in Western Norway from scratch. There is no doubt that UKEN is one of the funniest things you can do during your time at NHH, and this is your opportunity to join this amazing adventure! UKEN is by far the largest subcommittee in the student association, and with more than 1,000 great fUKENtionaries we will work together to make the best festival Bergen has seen. We have great ambitions for UKEN 20, and are now searching for those who want to help shape the festival from the start! To make UKEN 20 the best of all time, we are dependent on hard working and dedicated people who are passionate about creating something from the start. If you join us in this round it will definitely require
a bit, but you will also get so much back for it. Applying for UKEN two years ago is the best choice I have made during my time at NHH! In this magazine you will find something for everyone, whether you like show and revues, negotiating appointments or working with numbers. Maybe you want to try something completely new? No matter what you are interested in, the great diversity of UKEN gives you the opportunity to find a job that I am absolutely sure you will enjoy. The most important thing is that you are passionate about what you are doing and want to be a part of the greatest culture festival of all times! I can guarantee that UKEN 20 will give you tremendous experience and friends for life. It is not without reason previous fUKENtionaries return year after year to experience the best our school has to offer and feel the joy UKEN gives once again!

PR SECTION The PR section is hiring! Do you want to make sure UKEN is the most cited student festival in 2020? Then it is PR that you should apply to! In our section we transfer the joy of UKEN from within the organization to the entire city of Bergen. The brand of UKEN is to be stuck in everyone’s brains, and both your school and Bergen is to be painted in UKEN’s colors: green. Through media

reports, social media, stunts and all kinds of other profiling methods, we shall make sure everybody gets a lovely time! The PR section is one of UKENs biggest sections, and will as before consist of groups from the entire student environment of Bergen. If you love to let your creativity unfold and bring good vibes to everyone, then you only have one choice: APPLY TO PR!
middle manager video Join me in making The UKEN of all time! Such dreams do not become reality unless we have the most epic promo’s ever, which the role of assisting video manager revolves around. Promo’s should build excitement, raise emotions, stop people dead in their track and surprise them. They will build expectations of enormous UKEjoy! The productions will be based on artistreveals and other activities in and around UKEN, and as assisting video manager you will work as my right hand, in production and brainstorming. If you want to grow your knowledge and capabilities in cinematic productions, you are a perfect applicant for an interview! And remember, current capabilities are not a requirement, but interest and curiosity trumps all!

INFO SECTION The Information Section hires! It’s no secret that it’s Infofamily makes sure that the UKEN machinery runs smoothly at all time. We will be a bunch of broad expertise, and together we will make sure that the information flows like never before! We now need 17 fUKENtionaries who can contribute with everything from seamless transport solutions to spectacular designs who can take a breath from any graphic artist. By joining the Info-section you become a part of UKEN’s competence center, and you get the opportunity to cooperate with delightful fUKENtionaries from the other sections to create UKEN! The Info-section consists of the groups Photo, Secretariat, Personal Social, IT, UKEntreprenør, UKEpunkt, Transport, Graphic and Translators.

Group leader Graphic Are you a creative soul? Do you enjoy playing in Photoshop and Indesign? Do you have a graphic designer in you, and want to work with other creative fUKENtionaries on exciting projects? Then you will fit perfectly as group leader Graphic. As GL Graphic you have the main responsibility for all graphic projects in UKEN. Together with your group you will design what will be UKEN 20’s graphic profile, everything from fonts to be used for how our logo will look. In addition, you will work closely with PR for the release of events. As a group leader you will get a lot of leeway, and here there is room for much creativity. It is an advantage if you have experience with graphical work from earlier. By applying for GL Graphic you could have a big influence on how UKEN’s graphic profile will look, as well as getting life long, good memories!
