Getting started with Financial Aid The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the only application required to apply for financial aid for the 2023-2024 academic year. The FAFSA should be filed as soon after October 1 as possible and before the priority date of March 1 for maximum consideration. The earlier we receive your FAFSA, the earlier we can evaluate your financial aid eligibility. Be sure to list UMass Dartmouth as one of the schools on your FAFSA form. Monthly Payment Plan

To assist our families, we offer the UMassD Monthly Payment Plan which allows students and families to pay the term bill in monthly installments, interest free. The plan makes paying your education balance more manageable and can help limit loan debt.

UMass Dartmouth Merit Scholarships

All students who apply to UMass Dartmouth as full-time students are considered for an array of merit-based scholarships.

University Commonwealth Scholarship

Exceptionally well-qualified Massachusetts residents who have shown outstanding academic achievement and potential are considered for this scholarship that covers mandatory tuition and fees.

• October 1 – Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is available for completion.

A tuition credit award of $1,417 is available to students who received their associate degree from a Massachusetts community college, enroll at UMassD within one year of graduating, and have a GPA of 3.0.

Massachusetts Department of Higher Education Scholarship and Tuition Credit Programs The Massachusetts Office of Student Financial Assistance offers various scholarship and tuition credit program

osfa.mass.edu John & Abigail Adams Scholarship: This scholarship is merit based and provides you with an annual credit of $1,417 toward your tuition. In order to receive this scholarship, eligible students must be enrolled full time, maintain a 3.0 GPA, and annually complete the FAFSA.
