Getting started with Financial Aid
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the only application required to apply for financial aid for the 2024-2025 academic year. The FAFSA should be filed as soon as possible and before the priority date of March 1 for maximum consideration.
The earlier we receive your FAFSA, the earlier we can evaluate your financial aid eligibility. Be sure to list UMass Dartmouth as one of the schools on your FAFSA form.

University Commonwealth Scholarship
Exceptionally well-qualified Massachuse s residents who have shown outstanding academic achievement and potential are considered for this scholarship that covers mandatory tuition and fees.

Massachuse s Community College Graduates
A tuition credit award of $1,417 is available to students who received their associate degree from a Massachuse s community college, enroll at UMassD within one year of graduating, and have a GPA of 3.0.
Massachusetts Department of Higher Education Scholarship and Tuition Credit Programs
The Massachuse s Office of Student Financial Assistance offers various scholarship and tuition credit programs.

John & Abigail Adams Scholarship:
This scholarship is merit based and provides you with an annual credit of $1,417 toward your tuition. In order to receive this scholarship, eligible students must be enrolled full time, maintain a 3.0 GPA, and annually complete the FAFSA.
Stanley Z. Koplik Certificate of Mastery Tuition Credit:
This program is a non-need-based, state-supported undergraduate tuition credit program. Applications are available from the Koplik coordinator at your high school, or contact the Massachuse s Department of Elementary & Secondary Education, 781.338.3581.
• November 15 – Early Action application deadline. You’ll be notified in December.
• Biology, engineering, and nursing are highly competitive programs; applicants are encouraged to apply early.
• Regular Decision applications are reviewed once they are complete, and decisions are made as soon as possible.
• February 1 – Nursing applicants’ priority application deadline.
• March 1 – Priority deadline for admissions applications and for filing the FAFSA.
