How to Apply Step 1: Submit your application to: umassd.edu/international-apply.
Step 2: Submit secondary and/or post-secondary sealed official transcripts. Documents issued in a language other than English must be accompanied by literal English translations. For all post-secondary education taken outside of the United States, an official course-by-course evaluation is required.
Step 3: Submit an official SAT or ACT report. Step 4: All non-native speakers of English must demonstrate English language proficiency and are required to submit TOEFL (79), IELTS (6.5) or PTE (53) scores.

Applicants may waive the language score requirement if their secondary institution provides written verification that the means of instruction is in English, they are enrolled in an IB curriculum, attend and graduate from an American School or enrolled in a curriculum that leads to Cambridge International Examinations: IGCSE/O-level and GCE/A level exam.

Intensive English Program UMass Dartmouth’s American Language and Cultures Institute (ALCI) intensive English program offers courses at all levels of English. The curriculum is designd to prepare you to communicate in English-speaking academic, social, and professional settings. Your preparation for classroom success includes intensive English/ESL study. Living & Dining Construction on a new $134 million first-year residence and dining complex will open in Fall of 2020.
