UMass Dartmouth is a fully accredited university that offers a personalized educational experience and an exceptional value.

Transfer Credits Up to 75 transfer credits from other accredited institutions may be accepted at UMass Dartmouth. Please reach out to us with any questions about transferring your credits.

Financial Aid Online and continuing education students are eligible for financial aid. Make sure to fill out the FAFSA early using the UMass Dartmouth school code: 002210. Your financial aid package is awarded after you have registered for classes, so begin the process early.

Earn your bachelor’s degree completely online or transfer up to 75 credits to finish your degree. You can choose a fully online academic program or a hybrid format, which means most of your courses are online and a few courses are held on campus in the evening.

Second Degree Accelerated BS in Nursing

Designed for non-nursing BA or BS graduates, the Second Degree Accelerated BS in Nursing can be completed in just 17 months. This hybrid program offers online classes complemented by face-to-face lab and clinical experiences. Clinical rotations are available at healthcare facilities

Once you enroll in an academic program, you will be assigned an advisor to assist with your academic course selection. Convenient advising sessions are available in-person, by phone, or through email.

When you are registered for courses or matriculated into a degree program, you have access to free online eTutoring through the Math & Business Center, the Writing and Reading Center, and the Language Lab. Whether you have only one question or if you need long-term assistance, eTutoring helps you be successful at UMassD.

Earn your Certificate You can earn a certificate that can support your professional development or begin to work toward a degree. In almost all cases, you must have a bachelor’s degree in order to enroll in a certificate program. You can take up to two certificate courses as a non-degree-seeking student.

The Career Development Center can help you explore a range of academic and career options. They offer assistance with resume and cover letter writing, interviewing, making professional connections, applying to graduate school, and more.

Claire T. Carney Library resources You have access to the full range of library services and resources, including journal articles, books, and instructional sessions. Subject librarians are available to help you use library databases and locate the information you need. They can also teach you about services we only offer to online students, such as the free home delivery of books.
