Intensive English Program UMass Dartmouth’s American Language and Cultures Institute (ALCI) intensive English program offers courses at all levels of English, with a curriculum designed to prepare you to communicate in English-speaking academic, social, and professional settings. Your preparation for classroom success includes intensive English/ESL study. Living on Campus UMassD has 75 percent of first-year students living on campus. Campus housing is plentiful and is available for the duration of your UMassD studies. We have traditional residence halls, suites, townhouses, and apartments. The entire campus is wireless, and residence halls have free cable TV access and free on-site laundry facilities. Landlines are available for students who wish to have that service.

And there’s plenty of parking. There is one entry/ exit for the campus and a permanent, full-time UMass Dartmouth Police Department that supports students, faculty, and staff 24/7.
Dining There are 12 places to eat on campus, and some locations are open early and late for student convenience. There are a number of meal plans that can be selected. Just outside of campus are a number of restaurant options from fast food to sushi.
Activities on Campus There are activities on campus virtually every day and night of the academic year. From intercollegiate athletic games and intramural sports, to visiting speakers and cultural celebrations, UMassD offers intellectual, social, cultural, and community service pursuits.
