ACADEMIC CURRICULUM The School is affiliated to the CBSE Curriculum.
In addition to the prescribed curriculum the school offers cognitive development learning programs catering to students with mixed abilities. KINDERGARTEN

The Middle School lays the foundation for integrated learning and fosters multiple intelligences on the student. Block schedule of classes is insisted upon to set a routine of discipline. The curriculum here combines a range of pedagogies, methodologies, skills, content, and the meaningful infusion of technology. Great stress is laid on curricular innovation, imaginative projects and assessments. SVM lays a strong and purposeful emphasis on core subjects- Science, Math, Technology, Computing and Social Studies besides Languages, Art, Communication, Personal, Social and Health Education. The School also provides various entrepreneurial activities towards business education. The curriculum becomes rigorous gradually but the guidance, interactive modules and hands-on training makes it easy for the students to cope up. The classroom practice is student-centered and appropriate homework activities at periodic intervals, interspersed with projects, seminars and interactive sessions help consolidate learning across all areas. ASSESSMENT
Assessment is an integral part of teaching and learning. It takes places on a day-to-day basis through talk and questioning, discussions with the students and through self-assessment as learning is taking place. Report Cards are also issued at the end of each exam.

Classes are small, enabling the teacher to offer individual attention. The School has only 30 students per class with a student : teacher ratio of 1:5.

His successful corporate strategies were visible in his training venture with APTECH and technology services for IBM Mainframes. His CSR activities in the field of education have benefited the under privileged in Aranthangi and his Trust- Mugavari Foundation supports higher education needs. Mr. AP.Ganesshram brings in 21 years of industry experise in Banking , Infrastructure , IT Training and Telecom to SVM. Having worked in senior leadership capacities across corporate institutions like ICICI Bank , HDFC Bank and APTECH, his contribution will focus on business engagement in education. He has been successfully associated with the initiation of educational institutions which include a CBSE School and the B.Arch College at the MARG Swarnabhoomi Campus, near Chennai.
MR. R.RAJENDRAN
MR. R.RAJENDRAN- PRINCIPAL (Gurukshetra Public School) Mr Rajendran brings 29 years of experience in teaching, school administration, fiscal planning and management to SVM. Over the years he has successfully, effectively and efficiently managed school teams- 100 teachers, 30 non-teaching staff, and students from 1st grade to 12th grade. His expertise in handling student development has helped many in their careers as well as adulthood in a highly competitive modern world. He has won several academic honors and awards in his illustrious career.
Dr. RAJENDRAN
Dr. Rajendran will play a key role in the promotion of safe and healthy environment at SVM. He will also be responsible for management and administration of the school, budgetary decisions, faculty roles, performance analysis, curriculum development and evaluation besides day-to-day running of SVM.
DR.M.PONNAVAIKKO
Dr. Ponnavaikko has served leading academic institutions and industries in India and abroad for over 40 years. He has served 15 countries on various assignments at different stages, and all have been only through invitation. In the course of his assignments he has also interacted with thought leaders who have shaped his thinking. As the Vice Chancellor of Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirapalli he was instrumental in introducing the concept of life long learning and its importance in the development of an individual. He has contributed immensely towards the empowerment of youth in rural areas.At SVM, he will play a very important role in guiding and shaping the lives of students and their skill sets to empower them and position them for tomorrow.

The Director of Shivaani Educational Services Private Limited, Sandana Devan has 13 years of success in planning, coordinating, marketing, facilitating and managing the establishment and administration of schools across Tamilnadu. ADMISSION PROCEDURE
• Admission is open to all categories of students – Indians and Non- Resident Indian irrespective of Caste, Creed, Colour or Religion. • Parents / Guardians seeking admission for their ward(s) can write or contact the School to know about the school and for Application and Prospectus. • Students from English Medium Schools with good performance and inclination to study well with the teaching and guidance of qualified and competent faculty are eligible to apply. • Students will be selected on the basis of their capabilities besides the General & Specific Criteria. The Merit List of candidates provisionally selected for admission will be displayed on the notice board. Parents should confirm the acceptance within the stipulated date, remit the fee and other duly completed Declaration Forms and submit the necessary documents.
Conditions for withdrawal Students once admitted will remain at School for the entire course of study. Should they wish to withdraw due to unavoidable circumstances, parents will have to forfeit the entire Annual Fee paid. However if the reason for withdrawal is legitimate and is within a month from the date of Admission, the Management may consider the refund of the boarding charges. Parents have to submit a written letter to inform of the withdrawal and apply for the Transfer Certificate well in advance.
AGE &ELIGIBILITY
Candidates seeking admission to L.K.G. (Lower Kindergarten) should have completed three years on or before 30th June in the current year. A child seeking admission to Class I should have completed 5 years and 6 months of age on 1st June. The age for admission to other classes shall be reckoned accordingly. Children completing eight years and six months as on 31st May of the academic year shall seek admission to Std. IV. Relaxation in age is not permitted.
DRESS CODE
Common dress code should be followed. The details of the same will be given to the student after the admission stands confirmed.
DISCIPLINE
Discipline is a vital part of our school’s policy. It is the function of the school community, through a system of relationships, rules, rewards and sanctions designed to encourage and develop self-discipline within the children. If there is a persistent problem, the class teacher and / or the management will draw up an improvement program to support the child in partnership with parents. If the problem continues, the school reserves the right to make a decision that suits the interests of the student community. • Each pupil should have the right to be able to learn to the best of his/her ability and to develop whatever skills he/she possesses. • Each child should have his/her possessions and privacy respected. • Bullying, whether verbal or physical, has no place in our school. We ask all parents and pupils to help us by reporting immediately any incidents so that we can deal firmly and fairly with any bullies. We will keep the parents informed accordingly. If you know or suspect that your child or friend is being bullied don’t keep quiet, let us know!
• In school, children must walk quietly and treat adults and other children with courtesy and respect. We do not tolerate bad manners or bad language. • We don’t encourage children to carry money. • We expect children to show respect for their own and other people's property. • There may be occasions when children's behaviour is disappointing or unacceptable. There are clearly defined boundaries to acceptable behaviour and children who do not keep within these will be reprimanded. If bad behaviour persists we contact parents so that we can work together to overcome the problem.
HEALTH AND SAFETY ISSUES
The School has a 24x7 medical access. The Campus houses an Infirmary for emergencies. The school will carry regular health-checks at all levels. Parents are immediately notified when the student falls sick. If your child becomes ill during the course of the day we shall do everything possible to make the child comfortable, but since our facilities are limited in this respect the best place for them to be in those circumstances is at home. If a child requires medicines or tablets regularly through the day, they should not be in school, but exceptions are acknowledged. If your child sustains an accident at school, the following procedure takes place: First aid is administered and you will be informed immediately. LEAVE OF ABSENCE
Any request for absences must be authorised by the Head Teacher. Parents or Guardians who wish to take their children out of school during a term will have to write directly to the Principal. Even short term absence from the school, may result in poor performance. So please do not keep them away unless they are unwell or there is some family crisis. Leaving school during school hours is unless we have received a note or phone call from parents
HOLIDAYS
Parents are expected to take family holidays during school breaks and not during the term.

The School will always be in constant touch with the parents and provides regular updates through circulars, SMS messages, notifications through the School Diary and Notices. Please provide the school with up to date information on contact details/ phone numbers.
VALUABLES
Children are strictly prohibited from carrying toys, games, electronic goods, gold ornaments or other items of value to school. The Management is not responsible for loss of money or valuables in the premises.
TRANSPORT
Transport Facilities include Vans / Buses plying on all the important routes. The routes are changed every year according to the needs of the students.
