FINANCIAL AID All UMSL undergraduate students are encouraged to submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA is available on December 1 preceding the start of the academic year. Be sure to file your FAFSA as early as possible for priority consideration for all scholarships and grants. Once Student Financial Services receives your FAFSA, they will communicate with you via your UMSL email account. Be sure to activate it as soon as possible.
