Thursday, April 5 4:00pm - 5:30pm Resiliency- That’s What it Takes A panel discussion on overcoming obstacles and challenges to encourage and inspire students in their educational path. Come and hear from students, staff, and faculty who will provide their testimonials and offer insight on the journey to success. Sometimes when we encounter challenges, it can feel like we are doing something wrong, when in reality it is those very challenges that we later understand have contributed to our success. Our panelists will share their stories and testimonials on how they were able to overcome those challenges. CENTURY ROOM A IN THE MILLENNIUM STUDENT CENTER
Friday, April 6 8:00am - 4:00pm International Business Case Competition The College of Business and the International Business Institute will host the annual Case Competition on April 6th and 7th, 2018, where global challenges provide students with opportunities to showcase their critical thinking skills and business talents. Students from regional universities will come together and compete against one another. The students will be faced with an actual issue that a company is currently confronting in its global business interactions. They will apply their classroom knowledge to real issues just as they would with similar problems in their future careers. The teams are critiqued by a panel of judges without knowledge of the school they represent. The judges are high-ranked executives from St. Louis companies that are doing business globally. This is a great way for business students to learn how to work in teams, under very tight time constraints, and be able to achieve a solution that is well researched and feasible to reach.
