SEPTEMBER 2012
A Letter from the Vice President for Student Affairs Dear Eagle Family, Welcome to the extended University of Mary Washington family! We are glad you are joining us for Family Weekend 2012. UMW believes that when a student goes to college, the whole family experiences the transition. Because of this, we are especially eager to share with you the exciting activities going on at UMW. Family Weekend is full of opportunities to learn more about what your student experiences here every day: classes and interaction with faculty, club-sponsored programs, sporting events, and community programs. Over the course of the weekend, we hope you will learn what life at UMW is like, and build memories to share with your family for years to come. Thank you for visiting the University of Mary Washington. Sincerely,
Doug Searcy, Ph.D. Vice President for Student Affairs
