Question, discuss, collaborate, explore. This is a process you’ll go through in class and out. Most of our classes have fewer than 30 students. Voicing your opinion is expected… and it’s easy. Because you’ll be heard, you’ll understand the importance of what you have to say – and have a great time in the process.

Trevor Schrotz, MBA ‘13

As vice president of analytics at ncgCare, Trevor Schrotz, MBA ’13, had gained plenty of on-the-job expertise, but he wanted more. “I felt like there were some gaps in knowledge that I could fill and formalize,” said Schrotz, who works on the financial side of the tri-state mental and behavioral health care company. He’s also a drummer with a black belt in the martial art of Aikido. “The MBA helped me round out my business skill set,” he said. “I really enjoyed the MBA program at UMW. The like-minded, working professional students and the dedicated professors made the hard work and experience absolutely worthwhile.”

“Those who have been paying attention only to partnerships between Silicon Valley companies and the Ivies may be surprised that the beating heart of a tremendous amount of academic technology innovation is a small state university in Fredericksburg, Virginia. The University of Mary Washington has launched amazing initiatives that should be replicated widely because it’s clear that they advance teaching and learning in myriad ways.”
