B R Durham & Sons is Australian owned and operated, with over 60 years of industry experience. Durham provides Australian and international markets with cast iron, ductile iron, galvanised mild steel, stainless steel and reinforced precast concrete drainage and sewer products (third-party accredited). With factories located in Sydney, Yass, Queensland and Darwin, Durham specialises in “Making the job easy for you”.

PRODUCTS AND SERVICES

The team at Durham design, manufacture and supply precast concrete structures, access covers and grating for residential, commercial and industrial purposes, ranging from Class A (pedestrian) to Class G (airport taxiways). All products are Australian made or imported from overseas. Durham is an agent for Saint-Gobain (France) and Hydrotech (Germany). Custom-made products are also available. Precast concrete | Reinforced precast concrete pits, sewer shafts, risers, kerb lintels (RMS and council type), grates and access covers precast into concrete surrounds. AS4198. Access covers | Concrete infi ll, paver infi ll and solid top types, available in assorted sizes from 300mm x 300mm to 900mm x 900mm, clear opening. Multiple part access covers available for sizes over 900mm x 900mm. Trench access covers also available. All access covers are gas-, air- and water-tight. Third-party accredited to AS3996. Round covers | Sewer and stormwater infi ll and solid top types available in Classes B and D. Saint-Gobain hinged round access covers with unique spring bar locking system. Sump gully grates | Available in galvanised mild steel and castductile iron. All grates are bicycle safe. Pedestrian and wheelchair guards are also available. RMS and council approved models. Trench grating | Pedestrian, bicycle and wheelchair safe trench grating readily available in galvanised mild steel, cast-ductile iron or 316 grade stainless steel. Hydrotech ductile-iron grates and concrete channel system in various sizes. Cast iron boxes | Water-, gas-, air-tight sealed, stop valve, hydrant and subsoil. Step irons | Galvanised and plastic coated. Lifting tools/key | Short and long handle. Underground water tanks. DSTORM® | Suitable for a range of applications, the DSTORM® Gross Pollutant Trap (GPT) can be installed into new developments or retrofi tted to existing drainage systems. Its modular construction means it can be confi gured to treat very high fl ows, with a generous sump storage volume that takes the pressure off maintenance costs, and is construction- and maintenance-friendly.

PRODUCTS AND SERVICES

Stormtech products are ideal for outdoor applications such as pools and wet areas, courtyards, pedestrian thoroughfares, carparks and sporting grounds. Suitable for use across most surfaces: paved, concrete, tile, synthetic grass and vinyl. Slot drains | 25mm top opening with 20 slots draining into a concealed 90mm drainpipe. Special assemblies | For superior drainage capacity, a UPVC channel is connected via downpipes at 200mm intervals to sockets in a drain below. Other products | Linear drainage systems, threshold drains, vinyl clamps. Custom design and fabrication available.
