STUDENT LIFE
STUDENT LIFE The University of Bedfordshire is proud of its thriving student community and inclusive atmosphere. 100+ nationalities Our campus is a melting pot of nationalities and cultures that includes teaching staff and students from over 100 different countries across the globe. The University of Bedfordshire is home to some 24,000 students (across all campuses), but still feels like a close-knit community with a warm and inclusive atmosphere. Our campus is amongst the most culturally diverse in the UK, so no matter where you come from, you’ll feel welcome and supported here.
Support services We have Student Information Desks (SiD) on campus with staff available to help with any academic or administrative issues. Our student support doesn’t stop there; we know you may feel vulnerable being away from home so our services also include support for mental health, disability, finance, community and faith, and more. You can also access SiD services online.
Explore something new: Sport, clubs and societies The diverse range of sports, clubs and societies on offer reflect our student population and dynamic. Find your niche or try something new with cultural clubs such as the African-Caribbean, Brazilian or Portuguese societies. There are also plenty of fun and special interest groups such as the gaming society and the drama group, plus a broad range of religious groups. Many of our sporting groups successfully compete in BUCS (British Universities and College Sports) leagues. Whether you’re seeking to follow your passion, explore something new or just make some friends outside of your studies, joining a society or sports club is the best way to make the most out of university life. 39
