Welcome 2016
WELCOME 2016 When you arrive on campus during your first week there will be coloured faculty areas. These areas are in place to support you during your first week and can be used as a meeting place and information point as you familiarise yourself with your new surroundings. Each faculty has an allocated colour: Health & Social Sciences Creative Arts, Technologies & Science Business School Education & Sport Support staff will be on hand to direct you to faculty based events and help areas. The University has arranged lots of exciting events to assist you with integration into life at Bedfordshire and to support you with making new friends.
Themed events
For both our undergraduate and postgraduate students, we will be running a full week of exciting events, which will be based on a certain theme running on specific days. Page 7 provides an overview of these themes and further information on the events can be found at: www.beds.ac.uk/welcome2016 You are actively encouraged to take part in these themed events to give you the best possible start to your university journey.
Social events
These events are run by numerous departments and support services around the University and will provide further opportunities for you to get involved with your fellow students and meet new people. Open to both our undergraduate and postgraduate students, the days will be packed full of fun activities, so don’t miss out. See pages 8-10 for an overview of these social events. Community and Faith offer a range of alcohol free social activities during welcome week in their centres based at our Luton and Bedford campuses, and also at UCMK.
