CE certifi cation Real safety for real needs Safety is the most important aspect when purchasing motorcycle boots so Forma has made CE approval on its products a must. Forma boots are EN 13634:2002 tested and updated in the same legislation in 2010; EN 13634:2010 which is the specific protective footwear requirement for motorcycle riders. CE certification is obtained only after specific and strict tests are made by Ricotest, a credited Italian testing and research center.
Nella scelta della calzatura da moto la prima valutazione viene fatta sulla sicurezza quale caratteristica più importante. È per questo motivo che Forma in collaborazione con l’ente certificatore italiano Ricotest ha deciso di certificare CE la maggior parte della sua gamma. Tutti i prodotti Forma certificati CE hanno così superato la totalità dei test obbligatori di sicurezza per le calzature da moto richiesti dalla normativa EN 13634:2002 e dalla stessa normativa aggiornata nel 2010, EN 13634:2010.
Dans le choix lors d’un achat d’une botte de moto, la sécurité est un des éléments le plus important. C’est pour cette raison que Forma en collaboration avec le laboratoire de certification italien Ricotest a décidé de certifier CE la majeure partie de sa gamme. Tous les produits Forma certifiés CE ont résussi la totalité des tests de sécurité obligatoires pour les bottes de moto. Ces tests sont demandés pour l’obtention de la norme EN13634:2002 et de sa mise à jour en 2010: EN13634:2010.

Safety is further guaranteed thanks to TPU moulded plastic protections in all critical shin, ankle, heel and toe areas.
Air is pumped from a specific centralized position in the A.P.S. perforated footbed to the entire insole; consequently, air circulation within the boot keeps feet cool and comfortable. The Ice Pro and all OutDry® touring models will feature the personalized microfiber covered A.P.S. insole.
La sicurezza in tutti i punti critici è garantita da protezioni interne in TPU. In particolare alla tibia, ai malleoli, alla punta del piede ed al tallone sono dedicate protezioni specifiche. La sécurité est garantie grâce aux protections en plastique moulé injecté, pour toutes les zones critiques: la cheville, malléole, l’orteil, talon, tibia.

DRYTEX TUBULAR LINING The majority of our waterproof boots, with exception to the OutDry® range, feature the booty system. The seams in the reinforced and personalized Drytex membrane are thermowelded to avoid water penetration but still assure breathability. The EVA covering on the midsole guarantees maximum shock absorption and the booty from being damaged.
La maggior parte degli stivali impermeabili della gamma Forma, ad eccezione della gamma OutDry®, usano il sistema Booty. Questa tecnologia consiste nel creare un calzino con la membrana Drytex dove tutte le cuciture sono termosaldate garantendo quindi la traspirabilità ed impedendo all’acqua di penetrare. La copertura del sottopiede in materiale EVA consente il massimo assorbimento delle vibrazioni e protegge la calzetta da eventuali danneggiamenti.
La majorité de nos bottes étanches, à l’exception de la gamme OutDry®, possède le système de « booty » : chausson en membrane Drytex placé entre la doublure et le cuir. Les coutures de la membrane Drytex renforcée et personnalisée sont thermo-soudées pour éviter la pénétration de l’eau, mais assure une parfaite réspirabilité. MIDSOLE
All of the midsoles used in the Forma range have specific elements to suit different motorcycle footwear needs. In general the midsole must be flexible in the front and stiff in the heel area. Front flexibility improves gear control and enhances easy walking while a stiffer back assures perfect foot stability on the foot peg. EVA covering on the midsole is featured in all Forma waterproof boots while felt covering is used in almost all of the remaining boots to guarantee extra comfort and shock absorption. The different motorcycle segments require different degrees of front flexibility and rear rigidity when riding. This is why the Forma range offers 3 different midsoles to its consumers:
SOTTOPIEDI
Tutti i sottopiedi usati nella gamma Forma hanno elementi specifici per soddisfare l’uso motociclistico delle calzature. In particolare il sottopiede deve essere flessibile nella parte anteriore e rigido nella parte posteriore. La flessibilità nella parte anteriore garantisce sensibilità nel cambio e facilità nella camminata mentre la rigidità posteriore garantisce la stabilità della calzatura sulle pedaline della moto. Le coperture in EVA negli stivali impermeabili ed in feltro nella quasi totalità dei rimanenti garantiscono extra comfort e l’assorbimento delle vibrazioni. I diversi mondi motociclistici richiedono gradi diversi di flessibilità anteriore e rigidità posteriore della calzatura. Ecco perché la gamma Forma offre alla propria clientela 3 sottopiedi differenti:
SEMELLE INTERMEDIAIRE
Toutes les semelles intermédiaires utilisées dans la gamme Forma ont des caractéristiques techniques spécifiques pour répondre aux différents besoins des utilisateurs. En général, la semelle doit être souple vers la partie avant du pied et rigide vers la zone du talon. La souplesse avant améliore le contrôle du sélecteur de vitesse et rend la marche normale et agréable. La partie arrière rigide permet d’assurer une parfaite stabilité du pied sur le repose-pied. L’EVA (Ethyle Vinyle Acétate) est un matériau qui permet d’amortir et d’absorber les chocs. La plupart des semelles intermédiaires Forma sont composées d’EVA pour garantir un confort optimum en absorbant les vibrations et les chocs. Les différentes gammes de moto nécessitent différents degrés de flexibilité et de rigidité pour s’adapter aux différents types de pilotages. C’est pourquoi la gamme Forma propose 3 types de semelles pour ses motards:
DUAL FLEX MIDSOLE A contoured shaped nylon injected midsole to offer standard front flexibility. The stiffness in the back is ensured by a central embossed insert which is injection moulded. This midsole is used in the entire racing line and a part of the touring collection.
È un sottopiede iniettato in nylon ergonomico e sagomato con una flessibilità standard nella parte anteriore. La rigidità nella parte posteriore è assicurata da un rilievo centrale iniettato e sagomato. Usato su tutta la gamma racing e parte della gamma touring.

Une forme profilée en nylon injecté pour offrir une flexibilité antérieure standard. La rigidité postérieure est assurée par une pièce de renfort moulée par injection à l’intérieur de la semelle intermédiaire. MID DUAL FLEX MIDSOLE A contoured shaped polypropylene midsole to offer medium front flexibility. The stiffness in the back is secured by a steel insert. This midsole is used in the touring/adventure and urban ranges.
È un sottopiede in polipropilene ergonomico e sagomato con una flessibilità media nella parte anteriore. La rigidità nella parte posteriore è assicurata da un inserto in acciaio. Usato su parte della gamma touring/adventure ed urban.
Une semelle intermédiaire profilée en polypropylène pour offrir une flexibilité avant médium. La rigidité arrière est assurée par un insert en acier moulé dans la semelle. Cette semelle intermédiaire est utilisé dans les gammes Touring, Aventure et Urbaine.

I.S.S. (INCORPORATED STEEL SHANK) This contoured midsole is polyurethane injected. A steel shank is injected directly in the midsole to ensure maximum safety. This midsole is featured in all off-road boots with stitched soles.

F.C.S. FLEX CONTROL SYSTEM Safety, comfort and riding performance have always been our top priority and this has been respected thanks to the F.C.S. (Flex Control System). The articulated construction system was created and adapted to give the rider decisive protection during wear. The system further supports the ankle, permitting excellent flex movement front-to-back while still guaranteeing anti-torsion side-to-side. The rear flex movement comes to a full and complete stop, preventing eventual ankle traumas in the case of abrupt movements. The special shape of the F.C.S. brace offers protective cushioning during rapid or unexpected maneuvers. La sicurezza ed il comfort nelle condizioni di guida più estreme sono garantite grazie al sistema di flessione controllata F.C.S. (Flex Control System). Un sistema articolato tecnologicamente avanzato è la risposta alla richiesta di sicurezza durante una guida racing. Il sistema supporta il movimento della caviglia, permettendo la flessione del piede in avanti ed all’indietro, ed inoltre impedisce i movimenti laterali innaturali grazie al sistema antitorsione. Il movimento posteriore del braccio articolato è caratterizzato da un punto di stop ammortizzato che protegge il piede e la caviglia dagli shock più violenti. La sécurité et le confort même dans des conditions de conduite extrêmes sont garantis grâce au système de flexion contrôlée F.C.S. (Flex Control System). Un système d‘articulation faisant appel aux technologies de pointe, permet de répondre à la sécurité durant une conduite en compétition. Le système supporte le mouvement de la cheville, permettant la flexion du pied en avant et en arrière. Il empêche les mouvements latéraux non naturels grâce à son système d’anti torsion. Le mouvement arrière du bras articulé est caractérisé par un point d’arrêt amorti qui protège la cheville et le pied en cas de chocs violents.

The articulated brace fully supports the ankle permitting easy flex movement front-to-back. The brace features carbon-effect inserts and a cushioned rear stop that protects eventual ankle traumas in case of rough impacts. The F.C.S. brace is integrated with an anti-torsion system that also controls side-to-side flexing.
The instep area features a semi-elastic strap that permits a personalized fit. It can be easily adjusted and is extremely easy to open and close.
The lateral air vents permit air circulation within the boot. Air enters through the lateral vents and exits through the vented heel cup.
Simple and quick regulation of all calf sizes is assured thanks to the rear pump ratchet closure and plastic strap.

Il sistema articolato F.C.S. supporta la caviglia permettendo al piede una facile flessione in avanti ed all’indietro. L’articolazione è dotata di inserti ad effetto carbonio e di uno stop posteriore che protegge il piede e la caviglia da traumi causati da impatti violenti. L’F.C.S. ha integrato un sistema di controllo antitorsione che rende sicura e controllata anche la flessione laterale. Le système articulé F.C.S.maintient et sécurise la cheville tout en permettant des mouvements avant/arrière faciles. L’articulation possède des inserts à effet carbone et un système de blocage arrière rembourré qui bloque la rotation du pied vers l’arrière et évite les traumatismes provoqués par des impacts violents. Le système F.C.S. bénéficie aussi d’un système anti-torsion latérale qui contrôle la flexion d’un côté à l’autre.

Il cinturino è stato sviluppato con un sistema di facile apertura e regolazione. La zone du cou de pied dispose d’une sangle semi-élastique permettant un ajustement personnalisé. OUTDRY technology OUTDRY® TECHNOLOGY OutDry® is a new patented process which allows the lamination of the membrane directly to the upper. Thanks to this unique process, OutDry® is able to enhance the comfort and the performance of the boots, especially if compared to the traditional and standard waterproof bootie system which creates a gap between the boot and the liner. In rainy or snowy conditions, water penetrates and remains trapped inside between the bootie and the upper. The foot remains dry, but the boot becomes much heavier and the membrane breathability is reduced due to the humidity and stagnant water. On the contrary, with OutDry® technology the membrane is firmly bonded to the inside of the upper and there is no possibility of creating extra space. The footwear remains water-free, lightweight and breathability is maintained.

The lamination of the membrane keeps water on the outside surface; therefore, feet remain dry and are completely isolated from humidity.

The OutDry® system creates a much larger volume of dry air between the foot and the waterproof barrier; this dramatically reduces the risk of condensation from excess foot perspiration and helps maintain stable skin temperature.
Thanks to the OutDry® system, water cannot penetrate inside the boot, leaving no room to stagnate between the upper and the lining so the boot is extremely lightweight. Water absorption is limited to only the external upper material so the boot dries much faster.
No folds, no seams, no seamsealing tape and a 3mm waterproof barrier guarantee the perfect fit and maximum comfort.

LA TECNOLOGIA OUTDRY®
LA TECHNOLOGIE OUTDRY®
OutDry® è un processo brevettato che prevede l’applicazione (laminazione) diretta della membrana sulla tomaia. Grazie a questa caratteristica unica, OutDry® offre prestazioni e comfort nettamente superiori rispetto al sistema di costruzione tradizionale caratterizzato dalla presenza di una calzina impermeabile separata dalla tomaia che crea un’ampia intercapedine. In condizioni di pioggia o neve l’acqua penetra attraverso la tomaia e riempie lo spazio tra questa e la membrana impermeabile. Il piede resta asciutto, ma la calzatura si impregna d’acqua appesantendosi e la traspirabilità della membrana viene notevolmente ridotta proprio dallo strato di umidità. Al contrario, nelle calzature con tecnologia OutDry®, la membrana è solidamente unita allo strato interno della tomaia e non vi è nessuno spazio dove l’acqua possa penetrare. La calzatura non si impregna, resta leggera e mantiene costante la sua traspirabilità.
OutDry® est un nouveau procédé breveté, qui permet de laminer la membrane directement à la tige. Grace à ce procédé unique, OutDry® est en mesure d’améliorer le confort et la performance des bottes, surtout si on le compare au système de chausson imperméable traditionnel et standard qui crée un espace entre la chaussure et la doublure. En cas de pluie ou de neige, l’eau pénètre et reste emprisonnée à l’intérieur, entre le chausson et la partie supérieure. Le pied reste au sec, mais la botte devient beaucoup plus lourde et la respirabilité de la membrane est réduite en raison de l’humidité et de l’eau stagnante. Au contraire, avec la technologie OutDry®, la membrane est solidement thermocollée à l’intérieur de la coque supérieure (cuir par exemple) et il n’y a aucune possibilité de créer un espace supplémentaire. COOLING BOOT SYSTEM Forma in cooperation with Inuteq®, presents in world premiere the patented COOLING BOOT system. This new system will keep your feet cool and dry, raising the level of comfort and overall performance of your motorcycle boot even in the hottest weather conditions. The temperature is regulated based on the process of evaporation which is activated automatically with the use of water ALONE. To cool your feet a limited amount of water (max 20ml) is needed to obtain a long cooling effect. The cooling capacity of this new patented system depends on the outside temperature and humidity, as well as the air flow factor. The cooling capacity slightly decreases in case of elevated humidity, but in any case goes from 5°C to 15°C while the duration of the cooling effect varies from a minimum of 8 hours to 72 hours. The higher the external temperature and the air flow intake, the greater the overall cooling effect. The Forma COOLING BOOT has been specifically designed with material inserts that facilitate air intake to the boot while riding. This means greater comfort and sense of freshness!
Forma, in collaborazione con Inuteq®, presenta in anteprima mondiale il sistema brevettato COOLING BOOT. Il sistema consente di mantenere il piede fresco ed asciutto, elevando il livello di comfort e performance della calzatura da moto anche nelle condizioni atmosferiche più calde. Per raffreddare il piede basta infatti utilizzare una minima quantità d’acqua (max 20ml), ottenendo un raffreddamento di lunga durata. DUAL PIVOT F.C.S. FLEX CONTROL SYSTEM The evolution of the already well-known F.C.S. is featured in the top of the line Forma off-road Predator boot. Flexing is encouraged and controlled by the double pivot which permits a safe and natural flex movement in the ankle area while riding. The pivot was designed to give immediate and maximum response to our riders. Two rear stops were added to the two pivots (at the flex points) so backward flexing is blocked at maximum 33° (thus offering protection to the rider from eventual injury). Another important safety feature is the structure of the torsion system which prevents abnormal lateral movements in the ankle (maximum torque allowance is 15°). The basic version of the F.C.S. is featured in both the Dominator and Terrain Tx series, supporting both in freedom of movement and protection thanks to the anti-torsion structure. Il noto sistema F.C.S. si evolve diventando una delle caratteristiche fondamentali del Predator, lo stivale top della gamma off-road Forma. La flessione è favorita e controllata da un doppio Pivot sviluppato per consentire la naturale flessione della caviglia durante la guida offrendo la massima sensibilità ai nostri piloti. Ai due pivot (snodi di flessione) sono stati aggiunti due stop posteriori che bloccano la flessione all’indietro dello stivale ad un massimo di 33° (proteggendo quindi il motociclista da eventuali infortuni). Altro elemento di sicurezza è la struttura antitorsione del sistema che evita i movimenti laterali anomali della caviglia (massima torsione consentita di 15°). La versione base del sistema F.C.S. è presente, oltre che sulla serie Dominator, anche nel Terrain Tx garantendo in ogni caso libertà di flessione e protezione grazie al sistema antitorsione. Ceci est l’évolution du système F.C.S. qui caractérisera le Predator, les bottes top de la gamme off-road Forma. La flexion et optimisée et est contrôlée par un double Pivot développé pour permettre la flexion de la cheville en mode très naturelle pendant le pilotage. Tout cela pour offrir la plus grande sensibilité aux pilotes. A ces deux pivot a été ajoutés deux stop postérieurs qu’ils bloquent la flexion arrière des bottes à un maximum de 33° (protégeant donc le pilote). Autre élément de sûreté est la structure antitorsions du système qui évite les mouvements latéraux anormaux de la cheville (la plus grande torsion possible est 15°). Le Sistema F.C.S. est présent, dans sa version basique, sur la série Dominator et la Terrain Tx en garantissant la liberté de flexion et la protection grace au système antitorsions.

THERMOFORMED ANKLE PADDING Maximum comfort and safety are assured by this new and innovative product technology. Elevated comfort is reached thanks to the density and ergonomic shape of the material used. Safety is guaranteed by the anti-shock PU foam material closed-cell construction and the fusion with the waterproof membrane makes the padding water and sweat resistant. The fusion of padding with a delicately developed polyester lining allows the foot to easily slide into the boot guaranteeing easy foot entry. Una nuova tecnologia che assicura massimo comfort e sicurezza. Il comfort è ottenuto grazie alla sagomatura ergonomica ed alla densità del materiale. La sicurezza è garantita dal materiale in PU schiumato anti-shock che grazie alla sua costruzione a cellule chiuse ed all’accoppiatura con una membrana impermeabile rende questa imbottitura repellente all’acqua ed al sudore. L’accoppiatura dell’imbottitura con una fodera in poliestere dedicatamente sviluppata permette al piede di scivolare garantendo una facile entrata. Une nouvelle technologie qui assure un maximum de confort et de sûreté. Le confort est obtenu grace au moulage ergonomique et à la densité du matériel. La sûreté est garantie par un matériau en PU anti-choc aux mollécules fermées et son application sur une membrane imperméable qui rend ce rembourrage resistant à l’eau et à la sueur. L’assemblage du rembourrage avec une doublure en polyester permet au pied de glisser en garantissant une entrée facile.

The articulated and replaceable aluminum buckles ensure a perfect closure in all circumstances. The two hinges on the buckle allow an easy and precise opening when needed. The aerodynamic design and the new graphics make this personalized buckle an attractive added feature.
ZAMA TOE CAP
The Dual Pivot connector is made in nylon reinforced with fiberglass and carbon fiber. The nylon ensures maximum resistance while the fiberglass and carbon fiber provide elasticity and original shape to the connector. The connector has been created to follow the natural shape of the ankle.
The Zama material is an alloy made up of three elements: aluminum, magnesium and zinc. These elements offer a lightweight and durable toe cap. The singular shape, the anti-rust treatment and the front and lower inserts complete this technical toe cap.

This new and unique patented protector system, features an exclusive quick fastening/unfastening system called SMART that joins or divides the two parts that make up the protector. AKIRA C.L.M. SMART can, in fact, be used as a back protector (FB: Full Back Protector) or only the bottom half for your lower back lumbar area (LB: Lower Back Protector). Both of the protector devices are CE approved pr EN 16212:2013 (Level 2). Once divided the protector easily fits into your motorcycle case!

Ce nouveau et unique système de protection breveté, dispose d’un système appelé SMART qui relie ou sépare les deux parties qui composent la protection. En un clic simple et rapide, elle devient soit dorsale soit ceinture lombaire. AKIRA C.L.M. SMART peut en effet être utilisée comme une protection dorsale (FB: Back Protector Full) ou en ceinture lombaire grace à la moitié inférieure de la dorsale (LB: Lower Back protector). Les deux dispositifs protecteurs sont homologués CE EN 1621-2:2013 (niveau 2). Une fois divisée, la protection se glisse facilement dans votre coffre de moto!
