GROWING LEADERS, GROWING CHURCHES 1
Growing leaders, growing churches.
If we want to see churches flourishing in the gospel and driving forward in mission, we need to raise well-rounded leaders: humble men and women who truly love God and desire to serve his church. Union exists to meet that need. Through all that we do –growing leaders through our School of Theology, supporting church planting through our Mission network, helping believers delight in Christ through our Publishing initiative, and strengthening God’s people with theological excellence through our research at Newton House – we exist to serve Christ’s church, so that she might be fit for Christ.
3
Our newest initiative, Reformation Fellowship, knits these ministries together by gathering believers from across the world around a common vision: to see reformation in Christ’s church worldwide. Will you join us in growing leaders and growing churches, so that we can see the gospel banner of Jesus Christ lifted high?
INTRODUCING UNION
“Our vision is to see churches flourishing in the gospel and driving forward in mission. To see this, we grow leaders to grow Christ’s church around the world - we need your help to fuel this vision. Will you stand with us?”

“We’ve been partnering with UST with our South Wales Learning Community for the past 3 years. What attracted us to Union was a sense of shared values; the emphasis on biblical, gracious, and Christ-centred theology, with the aim always being the growth of his church. These values continue to motivate our partnership today.”

UNION MISSION
Although Halifax, UK is home to a few evangelical churches, some parts of the town have gone without gospel outreach for the last 50 years. Supported by Union Mission, UST graduate Doug Clark planted Hope Church with a vision to change that.
STORY
Doug planted Hope Church in North Halifax with a vision to help people experience and enjoy life in Jesus Christ. In its earliest days, financial support from Union Mission provided a vital source of income for the church plant.
“In our community in North Halifax, 40% of households don’t have access to any transport and 36% of children live in poverty,” says Doug. “That means people won’t travel for church and the only way to reach them is to be in the community itself.”
“God has been so kind and wonderfully the church is growing but given the demographic of our area we know our financial situation is unlikely to be robust for some time,” says Doug. “The finances we received through Union Mission have been vital because it’s meant that as a new church we’ve had solidity and our presence in the community has been consistent week to week.”

Our world desperately needs Christian leaders with warm hearts, rich theology, and deep convictions. We need men and women with an unwavering devotion to the beauty of Christ and the goodness of the gospel.

“A prominent lament in recent years has been that there is a growing distance between the academy and church. Newton House is an exciting new development that will seek to bridge this gap through theological conferences, a semi-annual journal, and occasional publications. It will seek to demonstrate that theology and church history can, and must, be studied for the good of the church and the glory of God.”
MICHAEL A.G. HAYKIN, DIRECTOR, NEWTON HOUSE
