F ATHER OF THE Y EAR M.A. Gardiner Sr. ~A man chosen by God from His Mother’s womb~ Bishop Charles Manalbourn Anthonelli Gardiner was born May 27th, 1960 to proud parents;Henry McDonald (deceased) and Mary Melvina Gardiner. He became a Christian in 1976, at the Church of God in Christ, and instantly knew the Lord had a special calling on his life. He joined the Church of God in 1983, becoming a member of the East Street Cathedral Church of God. He attended the Evans Barr Memorial Bible School for three years, and graduated in June 1990. In August of that same year, he was appointed caretaker pastor of the New Testament Church of God in South Caicos, the Turks and Caicos Island. In March 1993, he became an Exhorter in the Church of God, and was appointed Pastor of the Bain Town Church of God, now the Cornerstone Church of God, where he served for seven (7) years. In 1995, he became a licensed Minister and in June of 2000, he was ordained a Bishop in the Church of God. In July 2000, he was appointed Associate Pastor of the Church of God Cathedral, East Street and Lily in the Valley Corner. In March 2002, he was appointed a National Evangelist and thereafter, in March 2004, was appointed as National Evangelism Director for the Church of God Bahamas, Turks and Caicos Island. In August 2006, he was appointed pastor of the Bernard Road Church of God and in the year following he hosted the radio program “Forward in Faith.” He was also appointed Chaplaincy co-ordinate for the Church of God and Director for the Bahamas Chaplains Commissions. During the years 2012-2019, he served as interim pastor for the Church of God, Man-O-War Cay, Abaco. In 2020 Bishop Gardiner was appointed Associate Pastor of The New Goodwill Church of God where he now serves. Bishop Gardiner has been led by God to conduct revival services throughout The Bahamas, Turks and Caicos Islands, the United States and the Cayman Island; and he continues this calling to this day. Bishop Gardiner is an anointed and humble man of God with an unwavering spirit. He is not easily discouraged and has stood the test of time. He is determined to live a holy and a righteous life before God and he serves God with his whole heart, mind and strength. Bishop Gardiner is the author of a book entitled, “The Power of God Up Close and Personal”. He is also a Justice of the Peace and a Marriage Officer in the Commonwealth of the Bahamas. Bishop Gardiner has been and still is the most caring and loving husband to the former Patrice McPhee - Human Resources Consultant for thirty-eight and a half (38 ½ ) years. They are blessed with four (4) talented children; Chazzette Forbes - Banker who is married to Trevor Forbes and has a beautiful daughter Whitni Charles Gardiner Junior-Administrator who is married to Jeffinique Gardiner and has a beautiful daughter K’liyah, Patrea Gardiner-Law Student at University of the Bahamas who is engaged to be married to Dahl Alston and Chad Gardiner-Student and volunteer at the Bahamas Feeding Network.
MOST UNSELFI SH FA THER 2022 Giovanni Oliver, also known as Duh General, was born on June 5, 1993. Mr. Oliver is very outgoing, entertaining, and loves to dance. He also has a passion for making a joyful noise (singing). Giovanni loves challenges because he has proven that with God all things are possible and that he can do all things through Christ. As a husband and a father of two children, Gio is also certified as a Graphical Electrician. Presently, he is employed at Baha Mar. Although his job requires so much of his time, Gio wholeheartedly understands the principles of a cheerful giver. As a proud and devoted member of the New Goodwill Church of God, Gio goes over and beyond in his support for his church.
